Anthus - While I'm generally pretty over-exposed to floating island shots, I think colors and the use of zoomed-out OW graphics made this shot really pop out for me. My only comment is I think the highlight color on the mountains is a tad noisy/bright--if softening that specific color is not possible due to palette constraints, I wonder how it would look if you had varied mountain tiles, some with a highlight and others without, and kind of interspersed the highlight randomly? Might look nice.

Jared - an excellent Firebird shot. I really like the pond with the stone in it. In gameplay, that would make this screen very memorable/landmarky which I think is a great strength.

Twilight Knight - a great action shot. I wonder if the other dirt variant I've seen in DoR might serve the shot better for that strip of dirt along the bottom? Not sure, but I think it's mostly I've just never liked the default DoR dirt... my only other thought might be that darker/flatter-colored path stones might look nice in place of the current ones. Other than that, I like how there are two path types, presumably the dirt is more like a main road and the stones are like a garden path--I think that's a really nice detail.

Thanks, and I agree with this tbh. I could see about making some variable tiles for the mountains, especially considering how much they repeat already. I had an idea for a 2x2, and 3x3 mountain but I didn't try drawing it yet cause I'm kinda torn between making stuff look too complex, and sticking to mostly the base FF3 tiles. I'm already fighting the urge to make north/ south grass and sand transitions :P. I want this world map to be cohesive, so I want to take a more conservative approach to adding new tiles, but I will experiment some more with the mountains.
