Thanks for the acknowledgment on the cliff rails, rambly!
I don't have much feedback this week except for TK's screen. It's almost there for me personally. I'd say structurally the screen is good, I like the placement of the pond, dock, cliffs, and house and I think the tiles generally all work together pretty well.
EDIT - yeah I went overboard prescriptively on nitpicks previously, the long and short is I think the screen has a bit of visual clutter, but overall nothing especially egregious. I'd personally cluster some of the similar details together like the ground flowers into little patches and I think it would look nice if there were shadows in the water and if the stones in front of the house's doorway matched the style of the other path stones.

Thanks for your feedback?! Some good points in there, like the rocks at the doorway, but honestly a lot of it is just disagreeing with the choices I made on purpose while designing the screen. And also such a long comment on one entry in SotW I never seen before, I'm unsure if I should feel honoured by that or offended in the way it seems like I'm drastically in need of help with my screen design.
Now I could go entirely into every point, why I did them initially and why I wouldn't want to change it, but I don't really want to take this too seriously... If I'd ever pour all my effort and near perfection into a game, it wouldn't be for free in ZC really. I also would like to make a custom tileset like you, where everything fits together well, but this is far too time consuming for me that I would never be able to finish a quest.
To respond to your points a little in summary my style is usually going for some mix of realism and just my personal taste of what I want to see. When I look outside, I see flowers on different spots, in different colours, not clustered together in one colour just because that is how Nintendo designed it in GB Zelda. And I just like different colours and variation. Also I know how to edit a tile, and I actually made those house tiles myself (based off the LttP ones). Pity you don't like them as much as I do.
Still I really do appreciate your feedback, and I'd like to extend my thanks for putting in the effort of writing this post and analysing my screen. I hope once the quest is near completion you will play it and give me more feedback. Maybe it all makes more sense when you see all the overworlds in one cohesive manner.
To touch upon the other screens this week, I can definitely see why Joel is the fair winner here. A very unique and lovely screen.
I also like the pleasant beach vibes from Rambly's screen, maybe some seashells would look good here for some extra detail.
And always a fan of lava, that is a good screen by Shane. Though that shark is very much out of place, I hope it gets to the ocean soon.

Fair enough, I found your shot really interesting: I really like the scene and how you've combined the pokemon graphics into the zelda graphics. I think your tileset has come together really well and I do really enjoy seeing your shots from it.

Thanks! I also enjoy seeing/hearing your projects!
I did process some of your feedback though, and the screen indeed looks a lot better now:

I removed/moved some flowers/rocks/other stuff + revamped those floor stones, especially those at the entrance. And some shallow water to convey depth in the water?
So your feedback was still very valuable, thank you!

Yeah! I think your edits to the path stones in front of the house is nice and I think your idea with the shallow water is good. I think moving the barrel and wood debris in the water a bit closer together was a good touch as well. What I was getting at for water shadows was something like this:

Just darkening the areas a bit, maybe 4-5 pixels, where there's any object that extends down a significant way into the water like the dock posts. Also was just playing with adding a little ripple around the boats and barrels and thought that had the potential to look nice as well.
The extra rock on the left was just me testing some things. I didn't add the shadows to the area directly behind the dock, I figure maybe that spot is a bit shallower than everywhere else.
EDIT - with respect to flowers, I didn't mean to imply there were too many or they were too colorful! I actually think you can add even more flowers than you had originally without adding clutter. I'm thinking in addition to the scattered flowers you have now, maybe add kind of a big cluster of... 6 or 7 flower tiles of mostly similar color to each other in the general area behind the house at the foot of the cliff, aggregating together into a nice patch of wildflowers.

Those edits to the water sprites are indeed much better, I should consider implementing that. As a matter of fact I have for some tiles, so it's not so consistent that some tiles do and some don't.
Problem is pretty much all the overworld that has water in my quest has already been created XD
But it does make a large difference, thanks for your example.
