That map is pretty useless right now.

Just a lot of transitioning out of this one.

Quiet thread, huh.

I voted for Anthus's graveyard shot. It's a little busy, but it creates an eerie vibe. Sometimes, locations in video games succeed when you want to get out of them as soon as you can.

Joelmacool's shot is certainly elegant and functional, but it lacks a ka-pow factor.

In klop422's shot, I'm not really sure what I'm looking at. It's difficult for me to gauge depth and I find the slightly different-colored red rocks within the dark brown rock to be a little distracting.

The structure of klop422's is super cool. It's got a lot of depth and I'd totally play a game with locations like that, especially getting to see what's beneath. With that said, it's a tad flawed. There's too many biomes and mountain colors. If I'm looking at it correctly, the white and red mountains are on the same depth, overhanging the bridge and grey mountains. Furthermore it looks like the brown mountains are in the foreground.

I think the brown is fine, the white should probably have some more shadows beneath them, casting upon the grey mountains. You could probably slowly narrow the shadows to nothing, representing the merging of the white/grey. That alone would probably help the shot a ton by helping establish the various depths.

With the neat structure alone, klop422's won my vote.

Both klop and my shot are from the same quest lol. Klop's shot is awesome cause it is literally a transition between a lava area, a snowy mountain area, a desert, and an under ground area. Anyone can look at the map in the One Screen Massacre quest and see it in context. It is one of my favorite screens in the whole thing. :P
