The reference never bothered me, anyway.

 

I think Shoshon's screen is functionally made, but the walls are a bit too repetitive. Throwing in some horizontal grey lines between the 'bricks' could break it up a bit, and be fairly easy to implement, if you went that route. I like the wooden(?) floor tiles too.

 

MarinaraSouce's is cool too. I like the custom player sprite (is that fierce-deity Link?).
