Welcome to Underowl Cavern, an underground sanctuary lost in time where the Underowls used to gather and prepare their ceremonies. A clue to Link's quest is said to reside within the stone and dirt walls... (Yes, those are functional Pegasus Boots, and no, this is only a Proof of Concept shot).

I would of voted for Demonlink had I not entered. I would brighten up the reds though since fire and lava tend to be pretty bright.

Ganondorf - Looks pretty good. I like where you're going with this, but using those floating ice tiles for this area doesn't suit at all, especially when the floating ice is green. I think a different tile would've looked better there.

 

Joelmacool - OK indeed. Looks nice but it's nothing very special. I've definitely seen better from the past contests.

 

GrantGreif -  This is the face of true horror.

 

Demonlink - Looks really nice! The dungeon walls and overworld walls actually fit very nicely together. You did a good job by making that combination look great!

 

Shane - I really like how this looks. Fantastic job with the overall screen and there's no critique here.

I scrolled down. Saw demonlink and thought we had a winner. I scrolled down further... great screen both of you, finding good palettes keeps me from EZGBZ...

 

Joelmacool - good and flawless, but also super boring.

 

Ganondorf - the shadows swallow the details of the trees and green (ice), the flower is a bit too much and with the many things in the water it looks interesting but also cramped and awful to move through.

 

Grantgreif - tell me the mysteries of the moosh-universe and take me to enlightment.

 

Also I think this "I had voted for you if I had not entered myself" is nonesense. Of course, if you like yours the most it is kind of good manners to nullvote for fairness, but if you like someone elses better, why not vote for him. Just to have said it once.

Voted Demonlink.  His and Shane's shots looked the most playable of the bunch and were very difficult to choose between, but Demonlink's stood out to me more: it's a less common scene and I like variety.
