Well, I win the award for most yellow.

As for the others--I know I'm kind of a hypocrite because I didn't try to make a good shot this week, but none of them spoke to me. demonlink14's is a pretty typical forest shot with a solid palette, but the screen's design suffers with the odd nook up top and the awkward placement of the leftmost "whirlwind" tree. Sepulcher's is another pretty decent forest shot, but the stump and the bright rock in the corners of the screen are somewhat distracting and seem to be thrown in only to add detail--they don't complement the environment very well. Aslion, last but not least, has an attractive GB-style shot but with a cramped area toward the top of the screen. The enemy feels misplaced; I feel it would work better in larger rooms, assuming it acts the way I expect it to.

After some deliberation, I'll go ahead and vote for Aslion.

I voted for Sepulcher. Although the /\ mountain formation on the left is something that bugs me, it's well designed and that's all that matters for SotW in my books.

demonlink14 - This one is beautiful and instantly wowed me... except for one thing, when I looked closer. The shadows remove the grass detail, which is present in the areas the light hits. It was a slightly jarring contrast; fix that, then it's perfect.

Sepulcher - Voted here. It's the most well-designed, most appealing, and it jumped out to me just as much as demonlink's did, maybe a little more. Very pretty, though admittedly the palette's not perfect.

nicklegends - This is the most accurate ZC screen ever.

Aslion - No complaints here, looks great.

Demonlink14: Heh, not bad. I do have a few problems with the shot, however. First, you have a tree, a bush and some of the forest brush being only one tile away from the edge of the left edge of the screen. Move them one tile to the right and you should be alright. My second complaint is how the transparent forest tops obscure the texture of the grass on the ground, which causes inconsistency between the grass in the covered and uncovered areas of the shot. It is still a good shot though. 7/10.

Sepulcher: This is actually pretty well designed, especially for its purpose in the quest. However, I didn't like how you tried to jam too many different details into the screen - the rock and the random patches of bare dirt look out of place and should be removed (in the rock's case, replace it with forest brush). 8/10.

Nicklegends: I see hardly any visible effort in the screendesign at all because there is literally nothing but Link and a cactus amidst a sea of sand. Put in more effort next time. 1/10.

Alison: Interesting, but your custom ground tiles suffers from too much detail compared to the rest of the tiles in the shot. The rest of the shot is not bad, though. 6/10.

It ain't the prettiest screenshot, but at least it's from a quest that appears to be making progress.

This shot angers me. I cannot believe that somebody would have the gall to submit a joke shot to a contest as serious as Screenshot of the Week. Shame on you for having fun. Fun isn't allowed. I haven't had fun in 10 whole years. Check your privilege.

In all seriousness, I voted for Alison. I really can't find any complaints with the screen at all. I came very close to Demonlink, which is all really amazing, but Alison just barely won out.
