OK I was ALMOST going to pick the Sigma shot, cause I am sure that probobly took alot of work to get it just right, but I didn't because of the angle. It doesn't work quite right with the two different angles like that. I'm sure it would have turned into a much nicer shot if it had been a side view room.

So with that I pick CastChaos' shot.

Castchaos: It's pretty good and spacious, but I really don't like the shallow water, transparent water, when shallow reflects more of what is under it. So it would really be more of a brown since there is dirt under. But you can keep it the way it is if you want, just my thought.

Darkspawn: WTF it's Sigma is right icon_razz.gif, I'm not really fond of the detailed rocks down at the bottom with the not so detailed trees down there...

Evan the Great: It's cool, nothin' really wrong with it.

Majora's Wrath: This one is pretty cool too, and where did you get those forest overhangs?

Nuvo: Behold the work of one day, the palette is custom and so are the scaffolding/bridges. But the scaffolding is really... doesn't seem like it would hold up, so I need to edit it.

I voted for Nuvo. The only thing I don't like about it is the rock in the lower-right corner of the screen, 'cause it's only 1 combo away from the edge and it's in the players' walking space.

I voted for Evan the Great.

- CastChaos -

Personally, much better than the dungeon shots. icon_cool.gif It looks really good, and there's nothing much wrong with it. icon_thumbsup.gif

- Darkspawn -

Nice rips and all, but I'm with Tseng on the perspective. Not very good. icon_unsettled.gif

- Evan the Great -

I like the flavor. icon_deformed.gif In all seriousness, it's awesome, and the lighting is brilliant. The castle piece jutting out from the bottom adds a nice touch and a little variety. icon_smile.gif

- Majora's Wrath -

A little cluttered, and those tiles don't appeal to me. icon_unsettled.gif There seems to be some kind of bad contrast between the tiles, and I'm just not so sure that they work. icon_shrug.gif

- Nuvo -

Ugh, NewFirst with the DoR Link and some added on/edited stuff... icon_badrazz.gif I give you props on the wooden bridge/scaffolding thingy, but there seems to be a problem with perspective on it. The rest of the shot is well formed, but the palette, eh.

Newfirst? It's Pure and Penguin and Pie, I wouldn't rip from Newfirst if my life depended on it. And I love the palette, but I guess that's a matter of personal preference. icon_shrug.gif

It looked like Newfirst to me. icon_redface.gif I guess it was the mountains: I don't see them being used all that much in Pure, anymore, since people tend to favor the other mountain sets. icon_shrug.gif

Besides, they looked NewFirst colored. icon_blah.gif

I don't blame you for not wanting to rip from NewFirst, but you're right about the personal preference thing. Luckily, I don't slam quests because of graphics (unless you can't see a thing). icon_razz.gif

EDIT: Does too. icon_blah.gif

Voted CastChaos. I despise the light in Evan's and Majora's shots (Evan pulled it off better than most, though), Darkspawn's was just a ripped image on a basic screen, and Nuvo almost got my vote. I' a sucker for a good DoR shot.

CastChaos - I really like this shot. Good detail all around. I can't find anything to criticize about it.

Darkspawn - As mentioned, the perspective is off. The combination of more advanced graphics with less advanced graphics doesn't look right. Sigma simply doesn't fit in good, and I don't find anything else about the shot spectacular.

Evan the great - Like Castchaos' shot, good detail all around and I can't criticize it. This is the more appealing of the two for me, so my vote goes here.

Majora's Wrath - Some interesting tiles in there, which I like, but something about it all doesn't sit well with me when I look at the big picture. I am also not a fan of the trees and how they are placed. I am not sure that the vegetation goes well with the floor either.

Nuvo - An interesting shot with good detail, but even though I like those waterfalls, I don't like them with those particular cliffs. Also, the boxy ledges look quite unnatural. The water and bridges are certainly the most appealing features in the shot at least for me.

The weekly review

CastChaos: not bad i just don't like the use of those water spout tiles they are just lakking somthing for being in water

Darkspawn : big head auto not vote takes up too much of the room on the screen

Evan the Great (vote) : be a great winer [/jock] Yes it i like the use of the GFX on that screen and it's not too full and not too empty so vote.

Majora's Wrath : too croded but other than that good screen

Nuvo : you are the opiset from MW yours is too empty

So in voting order :

Evan the Great
CastChaos
Majora's Wrath
Nuvo
Darkspawn

I don't see how it can be too empty when over 75% of the screen is unwalkable. icon_sweat.gif
