Sharon.

DFW - Its nice, but nothing really spectacular or eye catching.
Blaman - This would proaboly come in 2nd for me.. a bit over crowded, but not to badly setup.
RevFan - I like the Boo rip, but the plain graphic really destroy the image, along with the contrasting white backround with the dark everythign else. Try a bit less stars, or maybe make them a tad bit darker shade of grey.
Sharon - I like it. Mainly due to the colors, but even beyond that its a very nice, eye pleasing pic, and considering the graphic are mostly (all?) custom, ye win me vote.
HeroLink - Solid LA shot, but like with DFW nothing spectacular or eye catching.

DarkFlameWolf, fo sho

I saw his as the only fully completed shot, dark, and gloomy.

Blaman comes in 2nd for me.
I like HL's key diving shot.
Although I do like Sharon's idea, the colors are alittle bright I think.
RevFan, those colors just hurt my eyes. I do not like that black and white speckled background, especialy witht he bright purple blocks.

DarkFlameWolf:
Meh. Nothing special. It's just another dark, gloomy Pure shot. It is a good shot either way, just not SotW winning material IMO. I'll give it second place though.

Blaman:
Pretty nive, but again, it is just a pure shot. This'd be third place for me. I do like the transpareant water idea though.

Revfan9:
I'm sorry, but to be frank this is hideous.

Sharon Daniel:
I love this shot. The only thing I can imagine adding are some "ceiling dots". I like the floor too. Is that character supposed to resemble BomberMan?

Hero Link:
Hmm. PLease don't take this the wrong way, but I'd have expected better from your GB set.

Dylan, the majority of the graphics are not custom. This is a Bomberman tileset that I'm making and most of the tiles are from Bomberman Tournament. The Bomberman sprite is custom though, and it's still under construction.

I voted for DarkFlameWolf. I thought her shot, even with the limits of the Pure tileset, portrayed a distinctive environment very well. Also, the subscreen is pretty nifty.

The others were pretty good in general, but they didn't captue me in the same way.

Dunno why, but it says I already voted...
Anyways,
DarkFlameWolf:
Very dark and gloomy. I like the shot. I like the overall look. *Votes if could*

Revfan9:
The shot would be alot better, if it weren't for the colours... It just bothers me...

Sharon Daniel:
Bomberman? Pretty original, if you ask me. I like the shot, it's very colourful. I'd like to see the finished quest.

Hero Link:
I like the overall idea, but in my opinion, it's too... blue. Otherwise, great shot.

Sharon Daniel's screenie looks to be a very good rip from Bomberman Tournament on the GBA.. Very well done indeed.

DarkFlameWolf: Nice looking overworld screenshot.. I don't have any complaints about this one.
blaman: Interesting autumn screenie.. Nice use of the Pure tileset.
Revfan9: Interesting use of the Zero Quest tileset, I'd like to check this quest out when you complete it.
Sharon Daniel: Very nice rip from Bomberman Tournament on the GBA.. I like it alot. icon_smile.gif
Hero Link: Not often do we see a nice screenshot using the GBC tileset.. icon_smile.gif I gotta wonder why there's a locked rock in front of the house, instead of making the door to the house be locked. icon_shrug.gif

Anywho, Sharon gets my vote. icon_razz.gif

I thought DarkFlameWolf was a good screenshot. I thought it had great color and it all interacted well together.

I thought that blaman was also really good that would have been my second choice. I did think though that there was just to much brown in it.

With Revfan9 I did like the idea, just didn't like the white speckles.

I thought that Sharon Daniel's screenshot was just to bright and it looked to plain to me.

Hero Link's is just to blue it all blended in together way to much for the fact you could not understand if it was all underwater or not.

Ooh, I already know who to vote for! Sharon Daniel, you have my vote, hands-down!

But, to stick to my tradition, I will examine all of the screenshots:

DarkFlameWolf: Good design, but I've seen stuff like that, before.

blaman: See comment for DarkFlameWolf

Revfan9: Ooh, nice job with the pipe. It looks like a fun game to play. Some tile designs are a little simple, though, but I think the tiles weren't meant to be detailed, anyway. I think you should play with the star tiles a bit, so they can blend in more.

Sharon Daniel: If Bomberman is the actual character and not a result of layering, then I would definitely download this game and rate it 5. I like how you used the classic Bomberman idea for ZC. The graphics are definitely perfect for such a game, as well. The hearts are very big, but I think that's exactly what would fit a Bomberman game. Just add a little more to the subscreen (like original key, rupee, and bomb design), and you're good to go!

Hero Link: See comment for DarkFlameWolf, as well.

I'm actually getting tired of seeing the same Zelda style over and over again. I mean, you have a Pure tileset and Game Boy Zelda tileset involved. I'd like to see some originality here. *gets shot*

It might be the jpeggy-ness of DFW's shot, but the green tufts of grass look like crap. Otherwise, though, it's a great screen, and I voted for that

I'm obviously not done with the subscreen, there's no way I'd leave it the way it is. The only thing I've actually changed is the hearts, which are my own vision, btw, as the actual hearts from Bomberman Tournament are 8x8 pixels.

And yes, Bomberman is the actual player. Right now I'm using the 16x32 mode, but I'm thinking about switching back to 16x16 so Bomberman doesn't tower over the enemies. I'm still not sure though.

I thought he looked a little tall to be 16x16. So, that's the bigger Link tiles I've heard about. Simply amazing. As for shrinking him, maybe keep him 16x32, but just make him a little smaller. If he is 16x16, he won't look right with the environment around him. I hope you win, SD! icon_thumbsup.gif
