Recently, I've been reading a lot of TVTropes. Which is fine and stuff. But then I went to the Zelda Classic page they have there. And saw how many quests had their own page. And then I got an idea.

What if we, as a community (or we, as in anybody who was interested), were to make a TVTropes page for every single quest on the database, and then some? Sure, there's 300+ quests in the database, but who said we'd be getting this done soon?

Think about it. A page for each Zelda Classic Quest, completely accurate. Maybe even your favorite quest! Would that not be a great way to attract more players? Thousands of people, just browsing TVTropes, when they find a link to not just one, but multiple quests with their favorite trope in them! Even if you don't care about ZC becoming more popular, would this not be a fun little side project to work on?

http://tvtropes.org/...me/ZeldaClassicis the link to the Zelda Classic Page. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Administrivia/HowToCreateAWorksPage is a link for how to make a works page (what a quest would be filed as). http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pagelist_having_pagetype_in_namespace.php?n=Main&t=trope is a link to a list of tropes to fill your work page with (warning: very long, might take a while to load). Link to text formatting guide: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Administrivia/TextFormattingRules

If you're interested, follow the works page link above. Then go to the Zelda Classic page and check to see if the quest you want to make a page for is there. If there is, you can check it and add any relevant tropes to it that you may like. If not, make the page, and use both the How to make a Works Page guide and the List of Tropes linked above to make a beautiful quest page! Then, once you've finished making the page, add it to the Zelda Classic Page at the very bottom with the other stuff so that people know that you've already made that page. Then, go through the works page you just made, visit all the pages of the tropes that you added, and add the quest under the examples list (so as to help others find your quest page; be sure to include why/how it's an example, and spoiler if needed). Same goes if you added a trope to an already existing page: add the quest you added tropes to under examples in the pages of the tropes you added.

Let's see if we can do this! :D

An interesting concept. I personally am not the biggest fan of TVTropes, but I do think this would be pretty cool to see.

Interesting to see what things can be brought up from the various quests.  Providing links to various LP's of the quests and/or LPers can help as well to clarify concepts mentioned in the tropes

Oh man, it'd be so much fun to make the trope page for the BoaB games... I'd be all in with helping make that one.

They may have to make an extra index-esque thing for ZC quests, but I am all for this. I thought about the same thing for SMBX episodes (though not quote relevant on this forum).
