Description
Some people might say that these sprites are unnecessary but quite frankly they're wrong. I expanded and made these sprites with the intent of them not being ridiculously huge in proportion to our favorite 16x16 pixel large Hylian clad in green. If anything it would be great if more custom bosses actually took Link's actual pixel scale into account rather than treating him like he's 32x32 pixels tall and wide since the bigger the boss monster, the less room there is for Link to dodge it's attacks.

Keep in mind that everything in here is optimized for the BSZ/PTUX/Revenge 2 palletes. Now we shall go into detail and what's in this bundle of pixelated bosstastic goodness:
  • The Chimera from Final Fantasy Adventure/Seiken Densetsu 1, I upshaded it and gave it two more frames to make it's flying animation less choppy, you'll need to cobble together a script for this guy
  • Fullmetal Haggar, the giant enemy crab from Final Fantasy Adventure/Seiken Densetsu 1 and Seiken Densetsu 3! I upshaded this lob-strosity from it's original FFA/SD1 Sprites while generally trying to get it's overall colouration as close to it's Seiken Densetsu 3 Incarnation as the BSZ palette would allow, then I added more frames to this fellow for those scripters ambitious enough to faithfully recreate and adapt it's Seiken Densetsu 3 AI to Zelda Classic.
  • Genova, The Daemonic Forge from Seiken Densetsu 3. This one I'm proud of since I sprited this devil forge completely from scratch. Scripts are recommend for this guy as well as a 64 pixel high wall. (In the original game Genova is hiding a doorway behind him, it appears when he's defeated)
  • Gorva, the ghost that dwells on the ghost ship, also from Seiken Densetsu 3. To be honest I was only able to sprite two frames for this guy and those two frames were difficult as hell to sprite. You might need a good spriter (like Shane or Koh for instance) to complete the rest of his animations and a good script.
  • The Lich and Thanatos, from Final Fantasy Adventure and Secret of Mana respectively! The Lich was a breeze to upshade so I decided to edit the Lich to make Thanatos. I especially recommend a custom script for ol' Thanatos since he's easily 8 pixels taller than the Lich.
  • Mantis Ant, the insect-tine menace from Final Fantasy Adventure and the first boss of Secret of Mana! For Mantis Ant I upshaded him to be as close to his Secret of Mana colouration as the BS Zelda Palette would allow and then expanded this fellow to have more frames, useful for those ambitious enough to recreate his boss fight AI from Secret Of Mana!
  • Tropicallo, also from Secret of Mana. I had a little help on the head's expressions as the spritesheet indicates. I will admit the pumpkin was a lazy slack job on my part though. Will definitely need a script to be made for it.
  • Vampire, the bloodsucking man-bat from Final Fantasy Adventure and Secret of Mana. Vampire was probably one of the easiest one to upshade. I simply upshaded him to be as close to his Secret of Mana colouration as the BS Zelda Palette would allow.
