This was pretty nice to play, just finished it up a few mins ago with all the endings. It's nice to see an old quest like this get a revamp and become something new and fresh.
First off, the biggest improvement is the sidescrolling gameplay. The most annoying thing in the original is how you couldn't jump from the edges of blocks, and that made for some really awkward gameplay. In this, that issue is completely gone and everything feels much more fluid to play. Other than that, I haven't really noticed any other improvements in the first half besides graphics being in GB instead of FYS (which worked out nicely in most areas, not so much in others). The second half (which is more like 1/3 judging from my playtime lol) is where I think I noticed the biggest improvements. Everything felt pretty much the same up until this point, but from here it was pretty nicely done with the revamping and everything felt all new. The bonus stuff from here as well is also pretty nice as well, and added quite a bit to the quest.
I don't really have many complaints besides a few graphics things. The biggest one is that the walls can definitely use some rounding off, if that makes sense. There are tiles in the tileset that allow for wall boundaries to kinda "curve" the left and right edges, as well as ceiling and floors. Simply look at some of the oracle of ages/seasons sideview stuff to know what I mean if this isn't making any sense. I think if almost all the walls looked similar to that rather than using one tile for everything in each area, things would look nicer IMO. It worked fine for the original because of the tileset, but here I think for this tileset it doesn't work so well. It is quite a minor thing so it's not too big of a deal at all, but something I couldn't help but notice throughout the entire quest. Haven't got any other issues in terms of difficulty and other design stuff, so that's good. Also, here's a compilation of random things I found (there isn't many): Click here
Kinda hard to come up with a rating for this one. Been jumping between a 4 and 5 throughout, so I think I'll go right in the middle and go for a 4.5/5, which rounds up to a 5. Pretty good work overall and good job on remaking the original with Lunar! Looking forward to more stuff from you guys.

Tips & Cheats
Pay attention to the opening warning.
Equipping the bow to R at the beginning may cause a freeze.
If you die before saving, you may experience a freeze.
These issues are both at the beginning of the quest. If you experience them, the simple fix is just loading a new file.
If you find yourself struggling with a boss, use everything.
Sometimes bosses are immune to all but one or two weapons.
Also keep in mind that you have a shield spell and a heal spell.
Updates:
1:
Made map visible on overworld.
Added a hint ghost in the Temple of Time and Northern Palace.
2.
Attempted to fix a super bomb issue. I am not aware if it worked. If you experience running out the Large Explosion spell and your quest freezes, let me know.
Added a hint NPC to the end of the final dungeon.
3:
Added a pickup string for the Grab Spell.
4:
Fixed a pillar in Ruined Chapel.
Fixed a possible exit in Saria Forest.
Fixed two sprites in The Rift.
