The story was awfully dark and sad, but, I mainly focus on gameplay, and it was excellent. Having played custom quests for many years it's harder and harder to hold my interest, but this did. The dungeons are fun and challenging, the puzzles make you think without making you totally tear your hair out, and the bosses are well done, if a tad on the easy side once you figure out the right strategy (which could be said of the entire quest in some ways). The custom items were super cool. This is short but for the four or five hours you play it is superb, and for that I give five stars. It looks and plays fantastic.

This was a pretty solid quest, though not without its problems.

The Good:
- The dungeons were phenomenal. Short but sweet, with just the right amount of puzzles. They never overstayed their welcome, nor felt too short. There were a lot of new ideas or new spins on older idea.
- The nonlinearity. Being able to tackle things in any order was really great. For not having enemy difficulty scale or anything, the quest still felt balanced despite every dungeon potentially being the first or last.
- The scripted items. All were pretty cool, the crystal especially.
- Most of the bosses. The final two stick out to me as particularly well done. Simple, yet wonderfully effective.
- The overworld as a whole. It felt well laid and connected, and all around fun to explore.

The Bad:
- The writing. A lot of the strings felt a bit awkward, to say the last. The story itself worked, but the dialogue has plenty of room for improvement. The ending felt out of nowhere and not particularly powerful either.
- The tileset usage. While the dungeons were fine, a lot of the overworld screens had issues with how the tileset was used. Most of the mountain tiles were used incorrectly, and there wasn't nearly enough detail in the grass. DoR looks fantastic when used correctly, but when used incorrectly... not so much. I'd suggest switching to an easier tileset or learning how to use DoR's overworld tiles better.
- Some of the overworld screens. While the overworld came together as a whole, a lot of the individual screens felt somewhat lackluster or uninteresting. The lava region in particular was guilty of this, with a general lack of detail and samey-ness to them.
- Two of the bosses. The ice golem felt like he had too much HP, and his rock-dropping lasted two long. Mothula was just... kinda boring. The rest were good, but these two bosses just didn't felt all that interesting.

Overall, the pros outweigh the cons. There's a few issues, but for the most part, I really enjoyed the quest. Can't wait to see what you come up with next.

I haven't had so much fun in a quest in quite a while, which is great! This quest was really fantastic, with non-linearity perfectly pulled off. I love having to do dungeons in any order and I also love how you add more usage to dungeon items throughout the quest like through heart pieces, 1-room puzzle caves, the bonus dungeon etc. The story was pretty interesting and of course you had to kill off a character within minutes of gameplay :P The 10 fairy sidequest was really nice and the rewards I got from the 1-room puzzle caves were great too (though the ice scroll was kinda useless). All the bosses are very unique and the difficulty curve is perfect, nothing was too hard and nothing was too easy. The items were really awesome too (nice to see the Magic Leaf return) and I love the clever ideas with the Earth Gauntlet and that Warp Doll script (forgot the name of the item though lel). I also found the length of the quest to be actually very fitting for a quest like this. While yes, it's short, at least the quest doesn't drag on for hours and hours with filler everywhere. This is one of those quests where short can be exceptionally well done.

The only minor complaint I have is that screen design can be simplistic sometimes, and look kinda unnatural, with straight mountains everywhere and some boxed screens here and there. Things like that bug me a bit, but yeah, it's more of a minor thing. Graphics could use a bit of a slight improvement in some areas though.

Overall, this was a fantastic quest. I loved every bit of it and goes to show that you don't always need quests to have 20+ hours of gameplay to make it really great. An easy 5/5 from me. Amazing job, Epad and Moosh!

I loved this quest, i had to restart only a couple times cause i broke the game. but thats perfectly fine. The music was amazing in the game, even in the subscreen when you switched items you had the twilight princess item switching. the bosses were uniqe with their own scripting. Heiman was a fun boss and reminded me of vatti from minish cap, only used the potions on him though, 100% completed the game, loved the twist ending.all in all i love this quest, hope to see another sometime in the future

It's a good quest. As many people commented, the ability to go through the dungeons in any order was a nice touch. I thought the overworld and dungeons were mostly designed well. I found all 10 fairies and I believe every item in the game, but I didn't find every HCP. However, the bosses were quite easy so I never needed them.

Now, there are a few reasons why I chose not to rate the quest 5 stars.

1. Scripted items are great, but all of them (except the gem) were underwhelming for various reasons. They either did too little damage, required too much stamina, were simply worse than using sword/boomerang (the boomerang even required stamina), and/or a combination of the three. The gem found in Cerebral Sanctum was really cool though and was used for some interesting puzzles.

2. Scripted bosses are great too and I mostly refuse to play a quest that doesn't have them. I don't know why exactly, but I didn't really like any of the bosses, especially Mothula. They were better than default bosses for sure, but they weren't overly interesting.

3. Cerebral Sanctum's main puzzle on floor 1. I get that red tombstones were supposed to mean something but the clues made so little sense. "Read from center", what the crap does that mean? Was it the center on the screen? The center of the dungeon? The center of where the gravestones were placed? I just found it strange and maze paths just really aren't that fun.

4. The overall story was kind of bad. The ending I am totally okay with if it didn't happen the way it happened. It just seemed, kind of random.

I would recommend this quest though! It had pretty good music selection and is fun to play.
