Even though this is only a demo, there is a lot of fun to be had in the quest itself. The graphics are very unique and help the setting, however items and enemies can be confusing to figure out, at first. This can be good or bad, depending on the person. I, personally, found it intriguing to not know the enemies patterns, at first glance.
Another thing I would like to mention is the lack of puzzles, or anything really, besides fighting. There will be shortcuts in later versions, but that doesn't really make up for it. This is not necessarily good or bad, and it will only serve to fill a niche.
As for death, the fact that you had to go all the way back to the start was tedious, but it was interesting to attempt new challenges on another run, once you acquired more items. This was a very interesting concept, that I would like to see spliced into other quests, but more subtlety.
With all that being said, if you strip away the graphics, it's basically a Zelda game without dungeons or puzzles, and I've seen some that were done better.
The default sound set does not help the quest much, either. They mar the feeling one gets from the tile set. Normally, this may not be so bad, but the tile set is far too different for me to let this slide.
In conclusion, it will be as much fun as the next Zelda quest, so I will give it an average rating.
