If you're masochistic enough to want to play this, or merely curious, here is a demo file, that gives you an idea of how this game will start. It's a bit outdated, but until I finish the first overworld, and start to add even more terrible things, this is what you can try.

Honestly, you're description is a little misleading. It's not really masochistic at all to play a demo, that's just an empty overworld, with some spikes that don't move at all. That's not bad design, that's just bland design. Really the only thing that's worth mentioning is the unreachable treasure chest, which isn't really that "masochistic", mind you, and more just annoying.
1/5, it's not bad enough to deserve 0/5, it's just straight up bland with nothing to it.
