After a horrific battle with Ganon, Link dies in BigJoe's 5th Quest and is revived by James. He has lost all his equipment and finds himself in a world taken over by Ganon. Fortunately for Link, the Triforce got split apart and put into eight new dungeons. Guide Link through the dungeons for the last time and put an end to Ganon once and for all.
