Metroid Prime 2: Echoes-- Title
Description:
Holy cow, this is my heftiest tracker piece yet! Weighing in at an impressive 1.2 megabytes zipped, it's still only half the size of a reasonably-compressed mp3 version of the real song.
Ahh, but what a piece it is! Don't count it out: I think it's safe to say that this one will blow you away. In fact, I guarantee there isn't a better rendition of the title song in Metroid Echoes anywhere else. Across two weeks of near-daily work, I pulled all the samples together myself from various sources and sound fonts, and the result sounds nearly authentic. Trust me. You won't be disappointed.
Special note: For some strange reason, Winamp has a problem with the vibrato on one of the instruments. But in ModPlug and ZC itself, it sounds just fine. Keep that in mind when rating this submission.
Additionally, while a midi version wouldn't do it justice on the majority of sound fonts out there, it IS possible this time. All I need is someone who can edit in the note bends and volume slides, because ModPlug ignores them during conversion.
Credits:
Chris Collins's excellent "GeneralUser GS" sound font, without which this song (And every other Metroid Prime midi in existence) would sound much worse.
Based on the song by Kenji Yamamoto.
