The puzzles and hidden secrets kept the difficulty high enough. However, some dungeons are too linear, and battles generally got easier once certain equipment was obtained. The custom bosses kept battles interesting, but I felt a custom boss or two should have been used in the final dungeons to maintain the difficulty curve. Otherwise, a great new overworld map filled with various secrets to explore.

A very enjoyable quest. What it lacks in graphics it excels in integrity. The puzzles were very well done, and the challenge was overall very well balanced, except maybe the fire gleeok battle without a sword. I highly recommend this quest to anybody who likes the classic look and doesn't mind thinking a little more.

This is a superb classic-styled quest with a TON of content and a fair amount of difficulty (which I like). It has eight triforce levels, plus mini-dungeons of varying size to get virtually every item in the game, and levels at the end that can be used to access incredibly powerful items. Nothing is handed to you here. Several of the levels are quite original, 3 and 4 in particular. The overworld is well-designed and confusing at times, but in a good way.
My only gripe, and why I toyed with four-stars, is that the dungeons are for the most part quite linear. It's hard to get lost or confused. Go on a branch, get the key or item, warp back to the start, take on the next branch. Sometimes I like a little more maze-like levels at times. Levels 5 and 8 are a little more of this nature.
Great quest overall!
