Add your own tiles to the blank pages. Note: The first row of each page can be used as a header for labels and scrapwork (see the actual tile pages for examples).

Page 062: begin sprites
Page 065: begin extra interior sets
Page 150+: begin constant combos (for door sets, map 1, cycles, nexts, etc.)

Look over the list of combos before designing your quest! Free up combo space by deleting combos you won't use.

Palettes:

All palettes are based on DoR's palette structure. In the level palette window:

A # sign indicates a subsection.
A * sign indicates a fixed-use palette (caves and passages).
A + sign indicates a group of csets. Use them to create your own level palette.

Overworld Palettes:

The overworld palette csets are loosely organized as follows:

* | *  | ****  | **** | **  | *** | *
X | V1 | Brown |  V2  | GND | V1  | BLK

X   = transparent
V1  = variable water/lava/hot colors
V2  = variable stone/tree/cool colors
BLK = black

Note: In DoR, the lightest V1 shade doubles as a light (yellow, whitish) wildcard/flower color. This does not happen in Pure Remembrance.

Dungeon Palettes:

Dungeon palette cset 2 is organized as follows:

* |   ******   | **** | **  | *** | *
X |     LVL    | GREY | YEL | BUR | BLK

LVL = the level color
YEL = yellow
BUR = burgundy

In many cases, the transition between YEL and BUR is so slight that you can regard this set of 5 colors as one set:

* |   ******   | **** |   *****   | *
X |     LVL    | GREY |  YEL+BUR  | BLK

Just like PTUX, cset 3 is an extra cset, and it usually contains a lighter version of the LVL color. You can replace it with anything else (mix and match overworld csets, different level csets, etc.). Cset 4 is the water/lava cset for dungeons.

Main Palette:

The main palette is a direct copy of the DoR main palette with some minor adjustments. With DoR's organized structure, you can now extend the number of colors for rooftops, flames, etc.

Maps:

Map 1 is used to preview palette colors. Each screen coordinate represents the palette number. The screens on row 0x8- are default screens used to generate the rest of the map.

Optional .bmp Files:

Optional tiles are bundled inside extra_tiles.zip. They're completely compatible with the tileset. Look there for title screen tiles, additional borders, sprites, dungeon sets, and much more.
