Adventure Tileset

This is the tileset I've been putting together for the last several months to use with my upcoming quest "The Adventures of Robinhood".
Many of the tiles are from the Minish Cap.

This is a PRE release and the set hasn't been built with yet, so you may have to set combo properties here or there or a door set, or even add some tiles that haven't been loaded into combos yet, like some of the sprites.

Door sets are added, but I don't use them, so if you do you may need to make some changes.
The Adobe dungeon I only added 1 door because it was not ever intended to be used in that fashion and doing so would be a real pain.
most of the other door sets should work out ok, if you like black doorways.

Users of this set need a firm understanding of layering and palette construction, so I don't reccommend using this set for a first quest.
The palettes are designed to be used in a drop-in fashion, meaning you start with a palette with cset 2 and drop in csets 3 and 4 to obtain the look and feel you require, however some palettes like the Castle Garden for example use more csets from the start because of the amount of colors needed in those areas, so if you are unsure it's best to make a complete new palette for a specific area you may be designing.
Examples of drop in palettes are the palettes marked furnature and house palettes, the house palettes are overworld house palettes and allow you to have a dozen or so different house colors.

cset 0 and 1 are water and lava colors to save on level palette space, although you can still use a level palette if you want a different water color, and they work for houses, statues, and some furnature as well, and nayru's love tiles use it as well.
cset 11 is greens and is set up for grasses, trees, etc, and the tree canopy which I haven't loaded into the combos, and is located in the bottom of the tile pages, if you want to load it in.
11 also has browns for dirt walkways etc.
cset 5 is mountains and water for the mountains, put there once again to save on level palettes.
I set it up like this so I could add massive amounts of colors in the level palettes since ripping Minish tiles can be a nightmare otherwise.
cset 10 is used for almost all of links weapons and items, and many of the sprites.

So.... you can build a complete overworld screen using csets 0, 1, 5, and 11 which saves you your level palette to just about do anything you will with it, which means you can put a lot of color and detail into your areas without any trouble at all.

There are 2 different minish overworld sets, palettes 04 and 07 are the light colors, and 27, 28, and 29 are marked DK and are the darker greens.
The lighter greens are pretty true to actual Minish colors, in the screens I've displayed I used the darker.
These are for the castle garden, and the town, but can be used elsewhere as well.

You'll need a backing on the message strings since the color used for that is a light blue and used for water, if you change that color, you'll mess up water tiles you never dreamed of, not to mention statues, some furnature, and a lot of others.
Once you work with, and understand my palette set up you'll find it's pretty easy to use and allows you great flexibilty in screen design, I've worked with most of the tilesets available and tried to incorperate what I liked best about them all.
