The Beginning!
--------------
Ignore the Hub cave for now and find a man who will give you the sword. Find the entrance to the Guano Cave and get the Power Bracelet. Once you have the Power Bracelet you can push the rock in front of the ruins in the desert to the east. The Desert Ruins is your first Dungeon. You will need bombs and the Blue Candle to to get to the Triforce. The bombs can be bought or dropped by enemies, the Blue Candle is somewhere in the dungeon. Buying a boomerang before entering the Desert Ruins is recommended.

Moblin City and the Giant Tree
------------------------------
Once you have the Blue Candle, you can access the southwestern island. In this island you will find a cave where the moblins have settled. Inside this cave lies the path to the Giant Tree. The Giant Tree is dying and needs water. Find the Hookshot somewhere in the branches and use it to find the switch that will open the floodgates. Once the floodgates are open the tree will be green and you can use the newly formed leaves are bridges. There are Dodongo Snakes guarding the Triforce so be sure to have some bombs.

Campanula Valley and Tal Tal Mountains
--------------------------------------
Once you have the Hookshot, you can use it to reach Campanula Valley. Campanula Valley is not accessible from the overworld, but from the Hub Cave. Campanulay Valley is a weird place with a giant field of flowers in the center. The pollen from this flowers can dissorient you so don't walk into the flowers unless you want to get lost, follow the paths or stay around the edges of the map. Once in Campanula Valley, you need to find the bridge. Once you have the bridge you can get to the house in the center that has the White Sword. The only way to enter this house is from the South. The 500-Rupee wallet is also in this area, but you'll need the white sword to get it.

Once you have the White Sword, you can activate the black orb switches. Go to the northeasternmost area of Campanula Valley and enter the Hub Cave. Hit the black orb switch to create a bridge that leads to the overworld and into a beach and tall mountain. Ignore the Shell and climb the mountain, on top you can enter the third "dungeon", Tal Tal Mountains.

There is a hidden key in Tal Tal Mountains that might be tricky to find. Just search all the trees. On this dungeon you will get the Recorder (whistle). If you don't know where to go, just play a tune and maybe a path will appear. Musical note markings or shapes are a hint that you must play the Recorder.

Town of Kasuto and The Mermaid's Dwelling
-----------------------------------------
Now that you have the Recorder, you can enter the walled town of Kasuto, which is on the eastern most part of the overworld but now can only be reached by traveling west. Play a song near the Triforce sign on the ground and the door to the town will open. Once in the town, you can buy potions, learn the sword swing and enter the fourth dungeon.

Inside the fourth dungeon you will find the Lilypad, which is the Raft. You must play the music for the mermaid statues to learn the path to the Master Key. If you just entered the dungeon and don't know what to do, try using the hookshot on the frog statues.

Lake Hylia
----------
The fifth "dungeon" is Lake Hylia. Here you will find the flippers that will let you swim. Once you can swim, travel to the different islands in the lake to get the keys needed to reach the boss. The Blue Ring is also here, to get it swim over to the southwest and defeat a Gleeok.

Slime Cave and Fossil Cave
--------------------------
Now that you can swim, go to the overworld and find a sandy beach penninsula stemming from the tropical Island where the Moblin City is. Swim north of that penninsula and you will find five mossy stones sticking out of the water, dive in the dark patch of water and enter the Slime Cave.

The Slime Cave is a little harder than the last few areas and potions are recommended. The prize for conquering the Slime Cave is the Power Glove. With the Power Glove, you can move heavy blocks which are marked with a black dragon's face. Go to the south-center part of the map and find a screen with a Hub Cave entrance and two set of stairs leading up a mountain, climb up the eastern stairs, move the block and hookshot your way to the sixth dungeon: the Fossil Cave.

In the fossil cave you will get the Bow and learn how to make arrows. Near the places where you can find the bow and arrows you will see some whirlpools, entering a whirlpool will take you back to the pond at the entrance of the map. Once you have the Bow and Arrows, shoot down the ropes holding up a bridge to continue further in. Once you have defeated the boss, you will notice the Triforce is out of reach! Push a bone and backtrack a little bit to push another bone to open the way to the Triforce. You will have to push plenty of bones here. You can also find a hidden Moblin willing to increase you bomb capacity in this dungeon (room 4-2 on the map!)

Forest and Forest Castle
------------------------
Enter the Hub Cave and travel as far left and up as you can until you reach another bridge tied up with rope. Shoot the rope with an arrow to make it drop and cross it to reach the Forest. Inside the forest you will find another Hub Cave near a castle that lets you create a shortcut to that castle, which is the seventh "dungeon".

In this dungeon you will find the Eye (of truth). Use the eye to find secret paths or hidden clues. To use the Eye, you need to find the Magic Jars (green jars). There are three Magic Jars in the Castle, but one is near the end. The man who teaches you how to use half the magic is also in this castle. Certain statues in the castle (and rest of the game) look at areas that have secrets that can only be seen with the Eye, let that be a clue!

Once you have the eye, you can travel further into the forest to find an optional more powerful sword. It is recommended that once you beat the Forest Castle (or once you get the eye and a few Magic Jars) you get this sword. Use the Eye to see what parts of the lake are safe to swim in.

Waterfall and Lanmola's Nest
----------------------------
East of the entrance to the Slime Cave (in the overworld) you can find a small body of water that will warp you out if you swim in it. With the Eye, you can now see where it is safe to swim. Swim over to a cave and climb the rest of the mountain until you reach the Waterfall (there is nothing to do yet on the beige-colored rocky part of the mountains so don't go there). Go up the waterfall until you find an "Eye Statue" and use the eye to see the entrance to a cave, the Lanmola's Nest.

The Lanmola's Nest is annoying but you will find the hammer here. Once you have the hammer, you can find the Secret Goriya City and buy the TNT (red bomb). With the TNT you can access the Challenge Dungeons (use the eye to locate a Triforce symbol near the entrance of a Challenge Dungeon), but it is recommended to wait until you are near the end of the game (or after beating it) to go into the challenge dungeons.

Crystal Mines
-------------
Near the begining area, you can find a patch of crystals growing, use the hammer to smash the crystals. One of them reveals the entrance to the Crystal Mines, the Eighth "Dungeon". The Crystal Mine is pretty dark and long, you will find the Wand here, use the wand to shoot the floating blue gems to open paths.
Once you get this Triforce, you can go to the last area.

Ganon's Floating Island
-----------------------
This is the last "dungeon" of the game and is divided into two: The outside and the temples. Ganon is hidding in the biggest temple at the center of the island, you will need to find the Mirror Shield to defeat a certain otherwise invincible enemy and then get the silver arrows. Use the silver arrows to open the gate with the stone eye (by shooting it). Good luck.

 Optional Stuff
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

The Beach
---------
The beach is the first optional area in the game. Note that this isn't a beach in the overworld or Lake Hylia, this is a map called "Beach". The beach itself has more optional and hidden areas in it!

Pirate Ship
-----------
If you can swim, you can make it a marrooned Pirate Ship mini-dungeon where you can get a Magic Jar. There is another Pirate ship that has no dungeon but a friendly former pirate that deals in clues about the five castles in the Beach. Those castles lead to an inter-connected Challenge Dungeon called "Olde Dungeon"

Goriya City
-----------
This City is in the Hub Cave, to reach it, you need the hammer and maybe the Eye. Here you can buy TNT, which costs 200 Rupees but is the only way to open the Challenge Dungeons.

Longest Cave
------------
The Longest Cave is a very long set of tunnels that can be reached via the Goriya City. You might get a heart container piece if you can find your way and not fall asleep here.

Underwater!
-----------
There are a few places in the water you can dive to reach an underwater mini-dungeon. Beat the Fish and get a heart container piece! There are three of these, two on the Beach and one in the overworld.

The King's Grave
----------------
Use the Silver Arrow to open up the dungeon, but beware! Some enemies will be invisible unless you hold a certain item! The Red Ring is rummored to be hidden here.

Puzzle Cave
-----------
The Puzzle Cave is hard to find. Solve the block puzzles and win the prize, which might not be what it seems...

Wasteland
---------
Once you reach the rainy wasteland you can enter the Hub Cave and create a shortcut.

Jungle
------
The jungle is north of the wasteland. You can find the Palace of Sacrifice here.

Palace of Sacrifice
-------------------
You can get rid of Heart Containers in this place! It's horrible, don't do it. There are no items here.

Desert
------
What could be here??

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
 Challenge Dungeons
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

Light Forest
------------
The easiest Challenge Dungeon. Be sure to bring enough money to buy a bomb upgrade. There are also Heart Container pieces. The entrance can be found on a lonely grave.

Beehive
-------
The beehive is north of Lake Hylia and has the Biggest Wallet.

Snow Mountain
-------------
The Snow Mountain can be found by blowing up a big rock on the northernmost part of the overworld near Kasuto. On top of Snow Mountain is the Ice Palace, you can find the red candle here and maybe a Heart Container piece, but not a whole Heart Container... no way. no. way... (yes)

Shell
-----
This is the Shell near the entrance to Tal Tal Mountains. Here you can find a relic that will let you see invisible enemies.

Queen's Tomb
------------
The Queen's Tomb is near the long bridge connecting the starting area to the desert where the first dungeon is, on the grassy side. Here you can get... A Magic Jar and a Heart Container piece. :(

Spectacle Rock
--------------
This place leads to the wasteland, it also has the golden arrow.

Olde Dungeon
------------
This dungeon can be found on the beach and has five entrances, talk to the friendly but greedy pirate to learn more about it. You can find something curvy and fiery in here, and some pieces of heart.

*-*-*-*-*-*-*
 Mysteries!!
*-*-*-*-*-*-*

There are four red dragon head statues in the world. What do they do? Do they need something placed in their open mouths? Hint: It's NOT the bait.

Where can you call on your friendly tornado with the Recorder? Other than the overworld, you can whistle-warp from the Wasteland, the Beach and the town of Kasuto.

There is a rumor of a purple-colored cave that might or might not have a secret bow waiting to be discovered.

There are rumors of a shop that sells magic spells, but nobody likes magic because other than the Eye, they don't work right and make Link feel more than a just a little sick.

Someone might put a pyramid in the desert, but that's a cliche.

Can someone somewhere in this game give away the magic word that will make you the master of this quest? Is there a secret dungeon that doesn't end when it says it does? Who knows!?

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
 Pieces of Heart?
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

Even I don't remember where all of the pieces of heart are, but here are a few clues.

In an angry Moblin's cave, hit a skull with the sword.
Entering a small waterfall near a beach.
Burning a Barrel in Moblin City.
Near the Gambling House in Kasuto.
Burning down dead trees.
Defeating all the enemies in a room.
Dungeons have Pieces of Heart, they can all be found on the first visit.

*-*-*-*-*-*-*
 Magic Jars
*-*-*-*-*-*-*

Three of them are in the Forest Castle.
In a cave on the forest.
Near the Lanmola's Nest.
Beyond the Triforce on the Crystal Mines
Inside the Pirate Ship.
Inside the Queen's Tomb.
