 A) Introduction
Welcome, everyone. My name is BH4. And I am incredibly bored. It is the summer, my friends. Summertime! A time of sheer boredom, or intense excitement. Right now, I am bored. And what is it that every young ZQuester loves to do more than anything else? The answer, of course, lies at the bottom of a bowl of mint chocolate chip ice cream. .... Anyway, that has nothing to do with anything. What you see before you is the readme for a graphical conversion of the Four Swords Link style by Warlock, I believe. Darkflamewolf had asked me to convert Warlock's Four Swords new Link tiles to the Pure Set for her Wind Waker style quest. I happily accepted, believing it to be a very simple task. While I would not admit otherwise, I will simply not touch upon that furthermore. The task appears to be complete, as within the zip file you unzipped this from, is a sheet of Four Swords Link tiles which you can rip directly into the pure set, with a few changes though. I highly recommend that you read on, lest you wander around quite bewildered as to why they do not actually fit in perfectly. Please, don't bump into walls, just read this.

 B) Instructions
The first, and obviously most important part of this entire procedure, is to make a backup of your quest. Open up Windows Explorer (Or your operating system equivalent) to your Zelda Classic directory, and find your quest. Right click on it, copy it, then paste it into that same folder. It'll paste as "copy of #########.qst" You can then rename it "Backup of ########.qst" if you wish. You now have a functional backup of your quest, and can proceed with the installation.

In order to import these tiles, you will all have to go into ZQuest, then into your tiles page, then find a nice, blank page with which to rip these into, preferrably somewhere around page one hundred. (Just for kicks.) Then, you need to click the Grab button, and find the image file included with this readme. Please import all of those to your blank page, exactly as you see there, minus, of course, the gentle reminder on the bottom line. You may choose not to import that if you wish, as I would see no other purpose with a relatively incomplete set of golden letters.

Okay, not that you have the tiles, switch to Cset 6 by pressing the Keypad Plus and Minus buttons. You may notice that when you go to Cset 6, Link's Color set, that the tiles do not look right! Well, EXACTLY! The reason they don't look quite right is that the Four Swords Link tiles used three green colors, as well as some other miscellaneous colors, which the Pure set doesn't have! But all is not lost! Worry not friends, as those colors in the Cset have been carefully replaced. In the previous Pure Cset 6, there were two sets of two green colors, one for Link's tunic, and one for his hat. The appeared to change colors when Link picked up a new tunic. However, the Four Swords Link does NOT do this. (Besides, Darkflamewolf has requested they not change colors independently like that.) So then I had the four colors converted to three, which granted more freedom in colors, something quite necessary for the Link sprites.

So now, try to view the palettes involved with it. Go to Quest-->Graphics-->Palettes-->Main. Highlight Cset 6. Grab from the tiles the first Cset there that begins with a green color, rather than a white one. Press enter. Now, go into Quest-->Graphics-->Palettes-->Extra Sprites 1, and rip the other three beginning with a green color into 6, 7, and 8. I believe 6 is blue, 7 is red, and 8 is gold. Then 9 should be green again, 10 should be blue, 11 red, and 12 gold. The latter four are for the quest icons at the quest selections screen.

If you had ripped the new Link's Cset correctly, you may go back to the location on your tiles page where you had ripped the tiles to. Switch to Cset 6. If the Link tiles look correct, you can pat yourself on the back, as you've done the job correctly. ^_^ Now, there's only a few more things we need to do to get these tiles loaded correctly. Rest assured, none of them are too difficult. They involve making backups, and moving the various Link tiles around.

So go down (Up?) to Tiles page zero, and select and highlight the top two lines. Notice how your Link tiles no longer look the same. This is normal. Do not worry about it. (There is a backup Link's Cset in the very image the Four Swords Link came from, just under the "new" palatte.) Hit C, then go up to a blank page -very- high up on your tiles menu, such as 220. Paste them with V to a blank area. Then return and make a similar backup of your Link's Swimming tiles, wherever they are, as well as your Link Slash tiles. Paste them near your main Link tiles around page 220, or wherever you pasted them. Now, you can take your new Four Swords Link tiles, and paste the TOP TWO LINES into the very, very top of tiles page zero. Then, find the Four Swords Swimming and Slash tiles, and paste them into the spaces your old tiles used to be. (Note, however, that you can "define" the locations of the swimming and slash tiles in Quest-->Graphics-->Sprites-->Weapons/Misc.

Your new Link tiles construction should be done. Test your quest. See if they work. If they do NOT work to your desire, please take a screenshot using F12, and host it somewhere and show it to me. Either you missed a step during installation, or I had made an error in the document or in installation, and you aren't the only one.

 2) Summary:

* Rip Tiles into a blank page.
* Replace Main Palette's Cset 6 with the Third Cset from the top (Resembling Pure Set's 6th Cset.) from the image.
* Make a backup of your Link tiles.
* Make a backup of your Swimming and Slash Link tiles.
* Replace the top two rows of Link tiles with the Four Swords Tiles.
* Replace the Swimming and Slash tiles as well.
* Instruct ZQuest as to the new locations of your Swimming and Slash tiles.
* Test out your new Link tiles.

 C) Credits

A lot of the credit here goes to Warlock for creating the tiles in the first place.
Quite a bit of the credit goes to Darkflamewolf for requesting the tiles, causing me to do this project in the first place.
Myself, who spent hours recoloring and fixing the tiles, and adding slash sprites, and then taking a needlessly abysmal time crafting this readme.
Nintendo, (Or whoever, I don't care) for creating the expensive Four Swords games, which while fun, are exorbitantly expensive, considering their requirements.

(EDIT: By the way, I just noticed that the filesize of this Readme is actually slightly larger than that of the image. Go figure.) Still, please refrain from criticing my use of long and unnecessary texts, and instead just enjoy the tiles. Thank you.
