I. Information
=========================
This is my tileset based on The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. My goal is
to make every tile from the original SNES game available for use in Zelda Classic.
The tileset has been a work-in-progress for nearly the last three years and has
seen several early (albeit inaccurate) incarnations. The tileset includes
everything you need to build intricate Zelda 3 environments like those seen in
the Light World, Dark World, Dungeons, Caves, Houses, and everything else found
in the game. I hope you enjoy this set and you are free to use and add upon it if
you wish. I only ask that proper credit is given. If you notice and descrepencies
with the original game, missing tiles, bugs with the set, or have any comments,
please let me know at masb_200308@hotmail.com.

NOTICE: All tiles and sprites are originally property of Nintendo. This set is
not made, distributed, or supported by Nintendo.

II. Updates
=========================
Last Update: 10/01/04
This is just a small update to take care of some minor issues people noticed.

- Corrected the colors of the Light World Lost Woods tiles. They are now accurate.

- Corrected the Light World Desert Dungeon enterances and made a few other small
  desert corrections.

- Fixed the problem that made the Dark World trees cross-eyed.

- Added a few missing combos here and there.

Update: 08/09/04
There have been many changes since the last public release. Here is a brief list
of them:

- Updated with changes for ZC v1.92 Beta 170 and up

- Added combos. Overworld and dungeon tiles use offsets for easier use. However,
The Dark World combos only use offsets when necessary (ex- Misery Mire enterance).

- Addition of Dark World tiles

- Addition of Dark World palettes. The level palettes are my suggested setups,
however you may have to rearrange them to get your desired effect.

- Finished up enemy sprites

- Updated the Link sprites and palettes. Looks much better when Link flashes now.
The old Link palettes are included on Level Palette 23 for older Link sprites
others have made that are dependent on them

- Finished all dungeon, house and cave tiles and palettes.

- Added Door Combo Sets

- Added Animated Shutters (note: south shutters may not animate properly if Link
is warped to the screen) (also, shutters will appear open when placed on the screen).

- Countless other additions and accuracy updates

(note: more service updates may become available as needed)

III. Credits
=========================
Over the years that this set has been in progress there have been many people who
have contributed in big and small ways. A big thanks goes to the following people:

Dart Zaidyer - Link Sprites, misc. item and tile sprites, made many changes to
assure the accuracy of the set. Also devised the animated shutter
combos. Without him this set would not have been done for some time.

Other thanks - Sludge (some dungeon tiles), Glenn the Great, Darth Cronic, Cloral,
and Warlock (rain tiles), who have all helped at some point along the
               road.

16 - Fortune Teller House Colors (purple floor)

The following may be used to get the complete Lightworld Mountain effect.

The following Level Palettes are for the Light and Dark Overworlds. Use them if
you want a night or rain scene. You may need to rearrange them on further level
palettes to get your desired effect:
18 - Rainy Light World (night)
19 - Rainy Dark World (night)

The following include the palettes for the Dark World tiles. 1A includes all of
them, and the rest are my suggested setups for different areas of the overworld.
You may need to rearrange them on further level palettes to get your desired
effect:
1A - All Dark World Colors
1B - Basic Dark World Colors
1C - Dark World Village Colors
1D - Dark World Dark Palace Colors
1E - Dark World Swamp Colors
1F - Dark World Pyramid Colors

21 - Mnt backdrop Colors (behind pyramid, credits)

This palette is used for the Vitreous (digdogger) boss. You will need to move it
to the desired Level Pallete for the dungeon you would like to use it in:
22 - Vitreous Slime Colors

This Level Palette is used for the Triforce Room originally found in the GOlden
Pyramid:
23 - Triforce Room Colors

24 - Title Screen Colors

This palette is not accurate, and is just for fun. It is from Four Swords Adventures
on the GameCube.
25 - Four Swords Colors

The following are to be used for the transparent fog found in the Light and Dark
World woods.
26 - Light World Fog
27 - Dark World Fog

Since I recolored the Link sprites so they would cycle with the enemy colors (it
looks much better), I thought I would include these since other people have created
different Link sprites that are dependent on the old setup.
28 - Old Link Sprites Colors
