Moon Rabbit Mani

Conserve resources and sneak past ghouls! With your trusty Lunar Gun (that can also shoot bubbles, hold R+PressLeft/Right to cycle!), channel the power of the Moon to strikedown your foes! But watch out; your ammo is limited and can only be charged with moonlight! Can you guide Mani (and her trusty small sidekick Deedee) to the Orb? Is there even an Orb? Who knows!

There is a potential softlock where something important can become stuck in a corner if you die or leave it alone and then walk through a screen with pits. You can still access it via Walk Through Walls cheat; the cheat code is 4 if you need it.

Also, in case you skim over important text and don't read (or in case you get stumped on mechanics that aren't explained through text):

You can charge the gun by holding A while either outside or in window light. It needs moonlight, so check to see what your moon gauge is at. If it's at zero, check the other spoiler.

Certain enemies can hold down switches; the ghouls are capable of pathfinding if they see you.

There's a weird object you might encounter near the end. Hold A near it and walk away from it while holding A. If it falls into a pit, check the other spoiler.

During banishment, the spirit will lose health as long as one of the pillars is currently firing a laser. If the spirit is sitting on top of one of the pillars or the pillar stops firing it's laser, shoot that pillar with your gun to either get the spirit off it or recharge the pillar. Otherwise, just focus on dodging, you don't need to hit the spirit (but you can if you want to stun it).

unexplained mechanics

You need moonlight to charge the gun, so if it's daytime near a New Moon (or if you just want to experience faster gun charging), try setting your computer time to October 7th at 12 AM for best results (it's the coolest time anyways). You can tell both by the outdoors palette and also the moon gauge at the bottom right. Note: if you are on Windows 10, make sure "Set daylight saving time automatically", "set time automatically", and "set timezone automatically" are turned off when changing the time, or Windows will "helpfully" change them back.

You can fire/use all 3 of the non-consumable items diagonally; think outside the box!

If the weird object falls into a pit and you can't see it, check inside the doorway you just came from; it respawns at the entrance of the room, and it might be hiding under the overhead.

Having taken part in making this quest myself I can't really offer any unbiased takes on it. But strictly speaking I find this quest cool but very rough around the edges and undeveloped in certain ways. I'm hoping to work with Deedee to make a slightly revised version in the future that is better.
