NOTE: This entry is a Demo for what has expanded into a much bigger project. It's still here, as there's enough content for a contest like this, but this is not being posted as a full quest.

 

 

Twin Dragons: Nostalrul Minus (Or just preferably referred to as Twin Dragons henceforth.) is my next big ZC project, born originally for this contest. As the subtitle implies, this is a prequel to Nostalrul Plus, acting as a telling of events mentioned by a number of NPCs and other dialogue in NP. The two stories are largely disconnected and thus, you don't have to play NP to enjoy this one.
 
As mentioned, this is a demo, and one that ends roughly before the plot entirely gets going. The focus of this project is character dialogue and writing, so feedback is particularly requested on that front! For those who decide to give this a shot, I hope you enjoy it!

NOTE: Entry was made in 2.55.9. Dying in that version crashes the quest, but I tested the quest in 2.55.10 and it works just fine there.

I really liked this entry. It's not very long, but everything that I played was rock-solid. The writing is good to my sensibilites, and very good in the realm of video game narratives, (of which many are quite poor). The cutscene work is very impressive and while I'm not completely hooked on the story yet, I'm very much waiting to play the full thing whenever it's complete.

The dungeon is also very well made and quite impressive. The only thing I wasn't super keen on was the boss, but otherwise I dug everything.
