Greetings all,

It is I, the Elegant One, Shoshon.

As some may have seen from posts in “What have you accomplished in ZC today?” And a couple images on Discord, yes I have been back to work on The Hylian Lament, and I have moved over to 2.55.7.

This comes with improvements on already existing mechanics plus allows me to use an item that didn’t work so well in earlier versions.

Some improvements that I have put in place for prior dungeons include:

Custom Mirrors. Mirror now only reflect in directions the mirrors are pointing. No more reflections when shooting the back of mirrors!
Sentry Guards are now solid. You cannot walk through and thus be caught by a guard just because you walked on them.
Mine Carts now have a mixture of weapon triggers and button triggers. What I mean by button triggers is that, there are some screens where I want you to be able to change the tracks more at will. In these screens a quick press of Ex3 will change the mine cart paths.
Level 1 Boss comes in waves. Those who played my first demo know the first boss was cool, but a bit straightforward. Now the boss comes in multiple phases allowing for a more dynamic battle.
Level 1 Boss also has a pre battle cutscene.
Whistle secrets are now permanent.
You now have a companion character waiting for you in rooms that have health and magic shallow water refills.

A few of these things were done earlier, but they weren’t spoken of in any update that I am aware of. You also would have only seen the level one boss stuff in the Expo demo from a year or two ago.

Where I am at now:
Level 6 and 7 are done. I do need to place the enemies and create the bosses, and possibly make a bit more complexity to the last section of level 7, but ultimately they are done.
Level 8 is in active development and I’ve done I would say about a quarter of the dungeon with a pretty thorough plan for the rest of it.

After level 9 is done I still have a lot of work to do with the overworld, story, side content, and numerous rounds of heavy testing.
