so it's been nearly two months since i last shared a proper update. i've been really, really busy with uni work over the past month especially, but i'm hoping to resume working on this at a decent pace. what i have been focused on has been purely quality of life. lots of scripting, graphic design, balancing and dungeon concepts. i've dramatically overhauled the subscreens as well - i think they look much nicer with a few more colours to them!
in saying that, another mini-dungeon is done, while i'm slowly working on level 1.
before its release, my beta testers gave me some feedback about the demo. specifically, how the gameplay focused heavily on combat over puzzles. i'd never used anything more than basic block/trigger puzzles back in the day, so i've been looking through the database for puzzle scripts. for instance, here's moosh's hamiltonian path script:
i want to implement more different puzzle ideas into the quest too. i fully expect to be going back over the mini-dungeons released in the demo and refining them to incorporate some different ideas as well.
finally, here's a screenshot from another mini-dungeon i've started work on:
see you in another two months! ha ha ha

Looks great. I keep forgetting to play the demo, but honestly haven't been doing anything ZC related the past 2 months.
Glad to see you are making progress though. The subscreen indeed looks better like this, perfect I'd say.
Also great you are adding more puzzles, after all it's an important part of a Zelda-ish game.

yeah im happy about the direction of this quest tbh, i'd rather go a bit slower and get it playing and looking nice instead of just rushing out something i'm not totally satisified with. very different to the approach i had when i was a teenager lol
