Dariusmartin, there is a remastered entry on the database, is that what you checked? https://www.purezc.n...e=quests&id=493

Does anyone have a copy of the remaster's enhanced music?

@Dariusmartin. I'm sorry I didn't see this comment sooner. The version you are referring to was never released except to a very small number of people. I have now submitted it to the database and it should be uploaded soon. Here is the information about the new version:

The game was updated! In order to gain the full experience from the update, you really should download the new ogg music files, which you can do so with the link below:

DOWNLOAD GAME MUSIC!

INFO:

A completely revised and remastered version of the original Zelda: Flow of Time. This game and its counterpart, The Legend of Zelda: Dawn of Time, were based off of the premise of the Oracle games. However, Dawn of Time will no longer be released. This version is substantially different enough that what was in the database however, that it deserved to be released. There will be no other adjustments to Flow upon this final release besides any crazy necessary bug fixes. To unlock the new side quest you must speak the password (YBFC1972) to the npc in Gly'cov Village.

I appreciate the PureZC community for all the help they've provided along the way and I hope that you all get as much enjoyment out of this quest as I did making it.

If you have any questions about the game, don't hesitate to ask. The game was last updated on 12/1/24.

Small update! It was brought to my attention that I posted the wrong password for unlocking the "Dawn" content. I had the letters mixed up from something that was planned later in the game.

The actual password is YBFC1972. This will prompt the NPC to give you a chest containing 1 rupee (it's only 1 rupee because Dawn wasn't finished as it was intended to be an item from The Dawn of Time), but it will also cause the Dawn of Time unlocked content to appear in the game. The Dawn of Time content is fully functional and it will be very obvious that it was started as you approach Level 2.

I played this a few years ago and I enjoyed it.  In your opinion is there enough changed here to make it worth committing to a replay?

I'm gonna be that guy and asked what happened to Dawn of Time, because I was holding off on playing this quest until that one came out.

I would say so! There will be all new mini-bosses and bosses, extra world building, and changes to dungeons and progression from the original. I believe Level 6/7/8 are the most unchanged, but the earlier dungeons received some changes.

For as to what happened to Dawn of Time, it just unfortunately never came to be. Me and my brother had progressed up through Level 3, but it was around the time we both started our careers. By the time we truly had time to work on it, the motivation just wasn't there.

I tried talking to the new npc before Level 1 and after Level 2 but it didn't work.

Is it only possible directly after Level 1? Cause I can't do anything in her room, as far as I can tell (using the latest stable release 2.55.7)

The npc you need to start the optional new content is:

zelda011.png

If you talk to her and give her the password "YBFC1972", she will accept it and spawn a chest in the room. The chest itself has nothing of value, but it will signal that the secrets have been triggered. Then you will find a new NPC near the crater of By'rov (area where Level 2 is found).

Subsequentially, you'll run into this npc multiple times throughout the quest and she'll explain why she is there and ultimately a new objective will emerge leading to an optional dungeon.

Where is the switch for these blocks?

One small UI suggestion in this or future games.  For the color puzzles some people are color blind.  A solution is to also use shapes over the blocks.  Think of Playstation shapes, Square,  X, Triangle, Circle.  Those markings on red, green, blue, and purple blocks would make them easier to see instead of greyscale.

Where is the switch for these blocks?

So, it is a bit hard to explain, but I think I can without a picture. So if you go to the Gly'cov Ocean and take the right raft branch, it leads to the island maze that ultimately takes you to Gly'cov in the past. If you sail north past that island, you'll have the "Mechanical Island" on the top right of the ocean, and a secluded island to the left of the Mechanical Island. On that secluded island, you can dive in the center of the water on the island.

If you do, you'll eventually make it back to the training grounds where you'll find that killing all the enemies in the cave there will lower the blue blocks.

@DrDiabetus:
It should work. It does on my end, but it is a tad finicky with position. If you are too close to her, it may not trigger.

@mikegonzalez2k

That is a really good idea! I do plan to release a final patch to fix some issues that have been brought up (for example, ensuring that the text box to enter the password always triggers if you're reasonably close to the NPC) so I can look into doing this when I do.

Hey so I'm kinda stuck on level 6 and i cant find where I'm supposed to go next I have the red amulet in its slot but i cant find the next one or anywhere I'm supposed to go I don't have any keys so I'm wondering if I'm missing a puzzle or item because the only puzzle i have found i think needs the item from level 6 so is there anything I'm missing like another entrance or something?
