If I go through with this on the QDB, I'd like to make the boss fights much more dramatic than before, with the bosses taking a lot more hits, challenging the player. However, this is dangerous because of the fact New Quest is 15 years old, people have a feel for it, and could upset game balance and people's feelings. I'm wondering what everyone thinks of this.

Bosses could be stronger, but don't go too overboard, most of the dungeon are pretty linear in that you battle through a ton of enemies to make it to the boss, not always easy to get to the end with good health (like lv8 for example). Just keep in mind that most players aren't going to have full health reaching the boss when you design how easy/hard they will be. Otherwise I agree that the bosses are a little underwhelming when compared to the enemies you had to fight to get that far.

Lv. 8 is a bit nasty.

If anything I'd change the boss to a Lv. 3 Patra instead of fighting 3 normal ones, but yeah, Lv. 8 might be the hardest level next to 10 and 11, lol. It kicked my @$$ doing it on runs.

At LV4 so far with 5 deaths.

Bosses are a little weak by today's standards, but as was mentioned hard to get there with full health so there's really nothing that can be done about it.
