The coloration. IMO it's a bit much for EZGBZ.

You realize those were in the original games, right?

Exactly like this, even with the intense pink? No, I thought they came from pure remembrance or so. Not that this changes my opinion, I am not fond of them.

I'm going to have to agree with the others and say I'm just as puzzled. What's the issue here? Why is the colours too much for EZGBZ when they're using the exact colouration from the source material? I don't think the flowers as a whole as an issue as you initially pointed out. Removing them would remove colour from the screen. But I agree that the intensity is a little strong, but it's not too much for EZGBZ since intense colours are its thing. :P

On topic, I have to say Matthew, that you have a very gorgeous scenic screen! Very nice for a screen with such an important item.

The spring flowers were pink in OoS.

Edit: Aw man. OoS was such a great game.

Hmm, in the OoS-screen I am still not a huge fan but they look fine. Maybe it's the general palette of Matthew's Screen or the overlayer that makes me dislike them in it. Not that it's a big deal, just my humble opinion.

BTW, why "was"? I still think it is a great game.

Been working a little bit in ZQ again lately. Not for any real project, just wanted to make a little valley

edit: spending a lot of time looking at it, there are height inconsistencies in a few spots, I need to fix those.

Great use of mountains for perspective, and nice use of ground decoration. Not too much or too little imo. If I had to give criticism, it would be that some areas are a bit *too* narrow, but thatโ€™s very minor. Great screens overall!

I especially appreciate the diagonal forest overhang shadows on the mountain sides. Good thinking.

These are all very old. Do they hold up today? Let's see!

IFGf58j.png <- Bonus screen. Shout outs to messing up my nice 3x3 grid.

I'm asking cause, well, large portions of these projects (including tiles, palettes, and design ideas) are being used today in something.

Oh, and I came up with "Eternia" on my own before playing Bravely Default. It was actually taken from an apartment complex around here. :P

Lol, yep. :D They are a pain to use though. That's why they got delegated to item rooms and passage ways, instead of a side-scrolling area, like initially planned.
