...not accomplished IN zc/zq, but I finished a few, new MIDIs during the last days (available in the Database)

My personal favourite is the "Nightmare Realm" soundtrack.
I'd be proud if some of you consider to use it in your quest projects.

With some help from a tutorial on the forums, I was able to alter the Zelda 3 subscreen preset into this thing. Still trying to figure out how to make a counter for one button's item not appear over both buttons at the same time, but I'll get there soon enough.

In theory, I fixed the MIDI 'piano' bug and crashes using the prior MIDI fix across versions. Wish me luck that this works, and is final. Thus far I have confirmation that it works and does not crash, from Moosh. I am awaiting further responses, but I cannot test this meself as I have absolutely no way to replicate the bug itself (MIDI instruments changing), although I can now affirm that the MIDI patch does not crash here.

As for me I finished the first portion of my quest yesterday and a friend of mine who never played any Zelda wanted to try it out. Was surely interesting to see someone who does not know that treasure chests can be opened, or bushes can be slashed and heart drops are not an upgrade but a refill! These things are completely natural to any of us here on the forums, funny.

Finished putting secrets, environmental enemies and enemies on the overworld. Also set up all warps, including scrolling warps, triforce side warps, and 3 stair warps.

Actually did a bit of work. Added some nice touches to my quest, did a little playtesting, decided to completely redesign level 2. Just a few finishing touches

 

In all seriousness, I think I am actually close to finishing this thing, given my sudden mood change towards ZC. Turns out replaying OoT and watching a Let's Play of Link's Awakening both help to motivate you to do some Zelda-related work.

 

Also, technically not ZC, but did a bit of work on the next version of the Zelda nsf.

You guys are so inspiring!!! I made a darknut laying down and snoozing (in the flowers by a lake). Put some breathing timed Z's floating on layer 3. Placed some boozy bottles around him, you gotta sneak between the bottles and him to get an item (it's the bait, cuz it just looks right with the situation). I also, on another screen, tried flipping the pure tiles' snowballs overlayer, so they go up, added a wave effect, and then when walking out of a "bar", it's a fun kinda swirly and bubbly drunken effect. If you go back into the bar, you wake up in the graveyard, having slept it off.

I accomplished that madness! These are a new combo type: Step->Effects.

 

None of this is scripted in any way.

Finished and playtested it. All I have left to do is a couple post-game bosses. Which, uh, was where I got stuck before :/
