Taco Chopper, I really like your shot... but I can't vote for it because I am no longer voting for floating island or scenic backdrop shots.

 

Orithan's was my second favorite so my vote's there.

Anthus: Love this. The colors work so well together. Composition is really good.

 

Jambu: Solid shot. Could certainly see your work being fun to play.

 

Orithan: Excellent work and screen composition. Wonderful job of using resources.

 

Taco Chopper: Shots like these make me jealous of how you and others use GB. Should the waterfall continue down under the other island? That's my only question.

Voted for Jambu. It's simple, but I really like the athmosphere.

I like Anthus's shot, and I like Jambu's shot, but then again, I like Orithan's shot and Taco Chopper's shot, and...

 

Ugh, this is difficult.

 

I like them all. But I'm going to vote for Orithan here. The rock highlights and subtle variation in the ground texture add a lot. The palette is natural and pleasant.

 

Honorable mention to Jambu. It's not a sophisticated shot, but it captures a dark, dreary scene very nicely. I like the pine trees.

Gosh I love the turnout this week.

 

Anthus - I'm a sucker for waterfalls and you nailed these. I always love when there is a transition with them, like when they fall down a mountain or in this case, into a dark abyss. It would be cool if the bottom water tiles in the darkness could have a darker color to them to give it some perspective. Otherwise, the whole atmosphere is gorgeous with this shot.

 

Jambu - Not much to say here. It's a good October creepy Halloween shot. It does the job, though the caption seems to imply that the hero has been buried underneath one of these? Or perhaps it refers to zombies? I'm not sure but it sure checks off on the creepy side.

 

Orithan - I've always enjoyed your work, and I assume a lot of those tiles are original or modified? In any case, I love the palette, that rusty brown, earthy color which I think fits this mountain scene well. The feel of the shot is perfect and the I love the layout. My only gripe is the mountains themselves. It's difficult to tell the perspective, like elevation and things like that. Is it boulders that have fallen and blocked the way? Or are those rocks indicating a change in elevation? Otherwise I love the shot.

 

Taco Chopper - I adore this shot. The first quest I ever started working on (and subsequently never finished) started on a floating island, Laputa / Estpolis style. The floating stones, the temple, the mysterious pillar (is that a bomb symbol on the stone?), the waterfall, the clouds, and that tiny bridge which looks so treacherous give this shot a perfect feel. The palette is gorgeous too.

 

I was torn between Anthus and Taco Chopper but Taco Chopper's shot just won out for me. Excellent work guys:)
