Hello! So, I, really digging the Firebird tileset, but I'm having trouble finding NPCs that would fit into them. I tried my best to recolor some game boy style NPCs but I'm not really that good. So can somebody please recolor a few NPCs from the game boy tile set, front, back, and sides animations too. Or can someone link me to some sprites that would look good with the tileset itself?

I hope for you someone got better results than me (I have a pitiful small amount of fitting front sprites, atm no way to upload them though). Just wanna say that simply recoloring GBC-sprites won't do the trick, they are too simple and need additional shades to fit in. And you are not the first one to ask for them ;)

Yeah, all I really need are 2 frames of animation for each one.

In the Pure tilesets and in the DoR tilesets are plenty of recolored and revamped Gameboy sprites. They should be pretty much what you are asking for, I believe.

I'm using sprites of the maidens from four swords adventure. And now I'm looking if I can find some downsized minish cap sprites.
But I will check DoR and Pure for some sprites too, thank you!

I've made some Minish Cap-esque sprites for Nargad's Trail Crystal Crusades. You can have them I guess, and when I tidy them up a bit, I'll release them to the database. Here they are:

They are suitable for DoR and Pure Remembrance palettes, but you need to import them as 8-bit sprites. Click "grab" on the tiles page, then press "B" on your keyboard a couple of times till it says "8-bit" instead of "cset".

It would be nice if you credit me for them, if you'd like to use them. :)

Also these are based on the MC sprites from DoR Hybrid if I remember correctly, so I think you should credit Demonlink as well when using these.

Edit: it's also very easy to make tons of variations out of these NPCs. Change some hair color, clothing or facial hair and they look quite unique.

If you use these I think you should switch to the old DoR-Link (not the metallic one) or the four-sword-Link (the one used in the Hero's memory or so from Aevin)

Yeah, if I can't edit them a little bit, I will do that. But I also would have to import different enemy sprites too, but I already planned on doing that since most enemy sprites are just game boy ones.
