A lot of the matter involved in playtesting is that a lot of places are unfinished. I'd say wait until Level 2 is complete before doing a playtest. There is quite a lot missing but at the same time it is the closest dungeon to being finished.

I do advocate nerfing a bunch of enemies in Level 2 by cutting their Step Speed, because apparently the step speeds of enemies must mirror that of Link's while in his transformations (Newsflash: This doesn't work - Enemies either move too fast or Link moves too slow when that philosophy is in effect). I also believe Level 2 is also shaping up to be a lot harder.

I plan on dm doing a "clean" play test today. The quest, imo, is probably around second quest difficulty. However, the items you start with make it pretty easy as well. The wand is currently pretty op, plus the hammer and dins fire are available fairly early, but the hammer has been nerfed slightly.

Map 2 Screen 7B. Attempt number 2: Electric Boogaloo.

I swear, next screen will be a puzzle.

A filler-ish screen, made so the player has to do the introductory segment involving the Zol transformation before he can proceed as well as allowing them to open a shortcut by killing all the enemies on the screen to the right and opening up a bridge to this screen.

Changes:

  • Screen 7C's Screen State is set to carry over to this screen

Map 2 Screen 69

Yet another maze. Maybe next one will be an actual puzzle.

Quest File

Additions/Changes

  • A few touch-ups in the script file.
  • The Floor Switches now has the option to respond to enemies pressing them. For the Pressure and Hit All Switch scripts, entering 3 into D1 lets Link and enemies activate the switch and entering 4 into D1 lets enemies but not Link hold down the plate. Expect changes soon.
  • The FFC script PushBlockBlocking is now added. When put onto a screen, it lets combos that block weapons retain that property when being pushed. This is very likely to get migrated up to the global scope, by the way. Just lack the time to get that in for now.

Thought I'd make a sequel.

Hope someone else chimes in on this place soon.

Added a bunch of (mostly one-use) new combos. Expanded upon the slanted shadows seen on the bridge screen with the mountain on it, which may be useful later. The hookshot grab lava may also me useful for fixing Jerome's Frigid Fortress screen (where the hookshot grab combos don't work).
