O.O This game has officially sucked HOURS of my time away. It's always amazing to me that a simple ASCII based game can be even more engaging than Skyrim at times. The rise of Indie games has also proven that a game doesn't have to blow you out of the water on the graphical department to create engaging, fun gameplay. Any thoughts on that?

This is really interesting. I can only imagine how long it took to do all that ASCII art lol. I'm just questing and trying to accrue up on my lollipop farm.

I started messing around with this sometime last week. I jumped in with no clue what it would be, which I think is the optimal way to jump in. It was really cool to see the game expand as I played. It started as really nothing, and just completely opened up. It's also one of those interesting games where if you hear someone talking about it, then try it yourself, you couldn't be blamed for thinking it was a joke where people were playing along.

I've seen pretty much everything there is to see. I don't want to spoil the fun for anyone, so I'll leave it at that for now. But it was very interesting while it lasted.

This game is awesome! I am really enjoying this game. I am hooked, but also stuck on the frog question of the universe.

Bah, the mission after castle keep is tough.
I think I found a strategy though.

EDIT: The last quest in the game is pretty awful. About 80% of it is luck based

I'm on the last quest in the game. I left the game running last night as I slept to build up a decent candy and lollipop supply, that helped a bit. I hated the level immediately after "Castle Keep", it's really hard to cycle through items to use while keeping an eye on the playing field, but other than that one quest, things went pretty smoothly.

Mhmm. Looking back on it, I really gimped myself for that level and the final one. I probably should have gone and got more than 280-330ish health. ,_, I imagine it isn't anywhere near as hard when you have more than that.

Out of curiosity, how are you guys aware that you're on the last level? I had a hunch, but I also had a hunch that several levels would be the last.

I unlocked 5 tiers of bugs. I'm pretty sure that's all of them given that there wasn't a 6th tier.

I'll confess I savescummed the bugs due to the randomness of it, but I eventually got a combination of things that let me hit absolutely obscene amounts of candy and lolipops and more or less get everything else much faster than I suspect I should have.

Don't stop there! If you really do have a good way of getting candy, you should very quickly be able to make your candy counter skyrocket much higher. There's still a bit more to see.

Specifically related to this, I found that converting about 10 billion candies to lollipops, making a few more runs at the Developer's Computer, then spam the crap out of the level 3 bug is very effective. One of the level 3 bugs multiplies your candies by 3... doesn't take long for that to get COMPLETELY out of control.
