Regarding these two compatibility rules:

Downward Hookshot Bug
Old Hookshot Grab

I think that you added these, but I;m a bit unsure what they are mean to fix.


I have a report of issues with 1,90 quests, as follows:
 
Version unsure; it was either 1.90 or 1.92, but 
For reference, you basically had to stand like a half tile away from a hookshottable 
combo, and if you did it right you could merge partially with the tile. 
And then once on that you could either get stuck or access places you're not 
meant to, depending on where it is
Do you know if either of these apply to this situation, and further, do you know if it is 1,90-specific, or if any 1,92 quests did this itiotic trick?

From the ZC wiki:

Downward Hookshot Bug
In 2.10 and lower, the Hookshot can pass downward through solid combos.

(^ if you stand close enough to the solid combo.)

Old Hookshot Grab Checking
With this rule on, the Hookshot Grab hit box is in the bottom half of the combo, but with the rule off, the hit box is in the top of the combo.

If Link stands on the green squares and fires the hookshot to the left...
- With the old hookshot grab rule enabled, the hookshot will grab the top grab point and bounce off the bottom one
- With the rule disabled, it will grab the bottom point and ignore the top one

I can't find the report, but there was at least one quest that became unwinnable because the grab point changed. I don't remember when that change was made, but the rule was added for 2.50.1 RC1.



I don't think that quote is referring to either rule's issue. There was another one that was never fixed as far as I know. I forget what directions it applied to (pretty sure up worked, maybe others), but grabbing a hookshot grab combo from a very short distance would leave Link stuck into the combo a pixel or two. It could be done repeatedly to move farther into it.

No. I don't think it's ever been fixed.
