I'd ask what are they smoking, but then I saw the release date.
Seriously though, points for affordability (this should make Guitar Hero and Rock Band type accessories cheaper).
Naturally it all depends how much is produced for this and how much customers are willing to dive into it.
From what I saw, some things look kinda neat, others seem kinda pointless.
Still, looks like the actual building part would be fun (in the lego kind of way) and it's a better merging of toys and video games than stuff like amiibo, which just unlock game content.

Look's fun?
The idea of more accessories always makes me a little uncomfortable, but this feels a bit like an accessory like the Wii motion plus, which might make games more playable.
Anyway, This looks kind of fun. My only other worry is because it looks like it's made of cardboard, it'll break easily. It puts the responsibility on the consumers (good move?), but it means that people might get lazy (which they might already be, because they have to make the controller themselves) and just stop.
We'll see.

Not at all, I think and hope it'll stay it's own thing.

Using the infrared camera that way is sooo clever. I really wonder how durable those contraptions are though.

Yeah good or bad it is really creative, except for the name being so much like Lego, although it's very good to get your customers comparing the two.

Nintendo's already flat-out said before that they try to avoid playing games from other companies to prevent influencing their own games, and that it was only incredibly recently that they started looking outward for inspiration and to get an idea on what works and what doesn't for genres that they don't know much about.
Still, can somebody please let them know that this isn't what the term "Loot Box" means?

Just looking at it, it's like, what the fuck, who came up with that?
But at the same time, I'm not that surprised, because Nintendo always does something that seems counter intuitive at first, but then it turns out to be okay. So, whoever's interested in this, have fun~

The concept here is certainly interesting. On a personal level, however, I think the extra clutter created from all the different pieces would be frustrating. In addition, I would be genuinely afraid to store everything due to fragility.
Maybe I'm missing a key idea here, but this game reminds me much of my nephew. Like a child, I'm going to wait for my brother to get one first so that I can get the experience for a day and then give it back when I'm done.

Looks like great fun for the kiddies. Assuming they don't price gouge the cardboard it's a cool little toy. Props for creativity!
EDIT: Oh... apparently they'll be 70-80USD. Fuck that.

I can see these becoming ridiculously collectible in like 20 years.
This is cool though. Not something I'd buy myself, but if I had kids, I'd be getting this.

Ouch. I was hoping maybe you could print them yourself.
I guess that'd be hard to control sales though.
But once someone gets a set it'd be really easy to photocopy the cardboard diagrams...

Now that's interesting. I'm sure someone will eventually upload scans of the cutouts, and at that point, there is nothing stopping someone from tracing that to a piece of cardboard, and making their own. :D
That robot suit one looks really elaborate though. It had like, rubber bands and gears and shit in it.

I guess I didn't word it correctly - this is more or less what I meant. The Wii motion plus was required to play a good few games, and so it was a worthwhile buy.
This looks like the same kind of thing.

An actual piece of cardboard? Is Nintendo serious? Why make the accessories ourselves when the buyer can just do it for us?
