@Anthus: You actually can re-watch those cutscenes the same way as the other memories. You're welcome.

I looked in the album on the Sheikah slate and didn't see them with the other memories.

Go to the pause menu. Press L to get to the menu with the sidequests. There's a memories tab there.

I feel pretty stupid now, wow.

Minor DLC cutscene spoiler

Non-DLC related, replaying this game again recently has made me realize that it does have some pretty big annoyances, and flaws, that I was quick to glaze over before because I was just so hyped to have a new Zelda. My biggest gripe has got to be the inventory management. Not being able to swap out an item you are picking up with an item in your inventory on the fly is a criminal oversight in a game like this. Seriously, this is so egregious, and why it hasn't been patched, I don't understand. It's not like Nintendo doesn't hear lots of people bitching about it. Lack of enemy variety, and lack of a real sound track are annoying too, but neither of those hinder the experience as much as the inventory management for me. I don't even mind the breakable weapon system, since it is pretty easy to keep a good stock of nice weapons on hand once you get into the game.

One other critique that I think I pointed out before, it it's kind of lame how all the shrines look exactly the same. It's all the same blue, brown orange and gold tiles and structures. Sure, they have different obstacles, and the level design itself is a lot of fun, but visually it's lacking. And this is really nit picky for me, someone who always says they don't care about graphics, and I don't generally. It's just that there's not even as much as a palette swap, or maybe some different music for these 120+ shrines. While the puzzles, and mechanics are interesting, these all come across feeling very sterile, and samey. They don't have any character past "weird ancient yet futuristic place" and end up feeling like test levels. I guess it's not the graphics themselves, but rather a lack of how the graphics could be used. The divine beasts are the exception here, and I still feel like they could have been bigger. Zelda 1 was samey, but it didn't have over 100 dungeons of varying sizes  :P.

Another problem I have is how disconnected the Shrines are from the story. Sure, you have shrine quests, but all the shrines are presented as "trials" and completing a vast number of them has no bearing on progression at all. I don't need an in my face story, but having everything presented as an arbitrary trial gets kind of old, especially when all the flavor text within the shrines reads the same. For me personally, the way the entire story is presented as flashbacks makes me feel even more disconnected from it. I'm just looking at Link's memories, I'm not really feeling this story myself. The world I'm in is destroyed, and devoid of any of those characters. Maybe that means it is working, but I always feel kind of sad knowing that they are all in the past. This isn't really a knock on the story, so much as it is saying how its presentation makes me feel.

This is more or less a stream of conscious thing, and not really an attack on the game as a product, it's still a lot of fun and I love this game, but it's not perfect. That bike is pretty cool though. I thought fueling it was going to be a hassle, but it's really not.

Thanks to this game (and the Nintendo Switch,) it is crystal clear that Nintendo has not only resurrected to full power, but is also mightier than it has ever been before. It has regained the throne of the video game industry and is the unchallenged ruler of it once again.

The Zelda series, while legendary, needed new life put into it. While seeing Link gasp every single time you put an inventory item into his hands and watching his cooking pot prepare meals for him may look corny, they do give Breath Of The Wild an extra bit of life and character. To put the cherry on top of the cake, you can change his outfit/armor to ensure that he doesn't die (as much) and to make him look extra fashionable should that be your desired outcome.
