Despite having never watered a fake plant, I still feel like an idiot after noticing them, and maybe I should have checked to see if they were real.

never had this experience,please  don't feel like a idiot, after all the water clean a bit that dirty fake plant ; )

As of posting this, the votes seem to imply that everyone who hasn't watered a fake plant felt like an idiot after watering it.

 

There appears to be one bold and unapologetic individual who not only has watered a fake plant, but they didn't feel like an idiot afterward. I aspire to be like this person someday.

 

(I am intentionally ignoring the possibility that the "no" vote could coincide with someone who hasn't watered a fake plant)

I haven't watered a fake plant, but I have had a hose backfire and water me while trying to water (real) plants, once.

I did that once and the plant was like "hey man, I'm not real, save the water," and I was like "oh okay sorry" before proceeding to question my entire life.

Yeah I watered a fake plant once. It was a real good act. Was pretty shocking to learn he was a fed.

I played OMORI, a game where I dedicated 90% of my playtime to watering fake plants.
