[Architect Abdiel]

Hello everyone, this is Architect Abdiel again. I mentioned the other day that I was getting I as getting close to releasing a demo.

As of today this demo is officially available for download, by following this link.

Important things to note are written in the description. Use this topic as a way to talk about the quest and share any issues or feedback with me so that I can get onto those things as quickly as possible.

Most importantly, ENJOY!


(I am aiming for a relatively simple quest. Not too difficult in combat. So, let me know if something is a bit much. I think I already lightened the screens I found problematic.)

I learned of someone walking into the light beams in the hideout and they being solid. I saw that I had all the light beam FFCs checked as solid. When I was going through testing this was not the case, so I didn’t realize they were solid.

It’s also possible that they were solid because this person was using and older version of ZC.

I’d like to replace the demo on the database with a version where I just went and unchecked the FFCs being solid. However, the demo doesn’t seem to let me replace the file I already uploaded. Unless I am overlooking something.

For the time being, if you run into solid light beams, message me and I will send you the update.

No, it's not possible and you'd have upload a new demo file and delete the old one

Alright. I’ll probably do that soon then.

I’m going to bring this up to see if there’s something we can do to change that.
But this could be a case where the forum can’t handle making changes to how demos work.

Update:
Due to a change with how strings work, the dungeon gimmick for the Shadow Dungeon is broken. I will be fixing this before the final release so that the whole quest works in newer versions of ZC.

For the purposes of this demo, I would suggest using Alpha 99.

You can probably get away with using Alpha 100, but I'm not sure when the string changes were implemented, so the further you get from Alpha 99, the less likely the demo is to work.
