Well I was bored and decided to give this new quest a spin and holy crow, what an amazing quest!  Sometimes simplicity in its' truest form can be fantastic, and LunarRedMage delivered on every aspect!  He took what was familiar and gave it a great old-school spin to the Zelda we know and love.  I really hope he decides to make a 2nd quest to go along with this masterpiece.

I'm not a great, or even a good ZC gamer, but the difficulty was spot on and almost felt like a DLC addition.  The only thing I would change about the quest is in Level 9, above Ganon's room, the upper part of the map would be to add a bomb drop, even with all the bomb upgrades purchased I still ran out, and had to spam the Wizzrobes just to get the final upgrades.

Excellent quest, once again, and look forward to playing your others!

I started playing this quest pretty recently. It is very well designed from what Ive seen so far, with a not so punishing difficulty ramp. I like quests that are a throwback to the simplistic NES days, and this delivers that in droves. An authenticity freak might not like the fact that it has diagonal movement and super fast screen scrolling, but neither seem to detract from the gameplay.

Thank you both of you :) Glad you've enjoyed it :3 And the reason for including 8-way movement, slash and fast scrolling was so that it would remove the clunkiness of the original. I could maybe include a version of the quest for authentity freaks without those features :)

Just started this quest.  Unfortunately, I can't get the music to work.  Every time I try to download or open the music.rar file it tells me it's not a valid archive.

I have PowerArchiver, and it's usually fine with .rar files, but I can give Winrar a try.  I'll let you know.

Looks like Winrar worked.  Still not sure why PowerArchiver didn't like it.  Oh well.  Thanks!

I having  a blast playing this quest but I can't seem to find level 5. I've finished levels 1 thru 4 and partially finished 6 but I'm walking in circles looking for level 5. I've even found levels 7, 8 and 9.

Thank in advance.

Level 5 can be found in the desert area to the east.

There was a hint about 2 waterfalls. I found the one with the white sword. Where is the other one?

The hint said that one of the two waterfalls contain a secret :D so only waterfall has a secret, which you found

Are there any whistle secrets in the overworld, or is the whistle just for killing digdoggers?
