I mean, the topic title is 'how do you consider yourself?', not 'how skilled are you?', so I'd say it's pretty functional.
i confirm i'm asking, "how do you consider yourself"

This poll is moot. The people below average don't realize they're below average, unless your goal is to get data about perception rather than actual competence.
you almost guess, "perception rather than actual competence" but i cannot say i made this for "get data"

Depending on the kind of day I am having, I'd either consider myself a genius, distinguished, skilled, average, incompetent, or good-for-nothing. But most frequently, I'd consider myself skilled. Some people consider me a genius, but they are either being nice or are just farther from genius than I am, so it might just be relative perspective.

It's an interesting question. Keeping in mind studies have shown a majority of people consider themselves to have above average intelligence... and, mathematically, not all of them can be right.
That being said, intelligence is not the only factor when it comes to achieving your goals, hard work and dedication also go a long way.

I am absolutely exquisite.

Skilled where it doesn't matter, average to incompetent everywhere else. I'll take the average of that and say...average.
Moosh said it perfectly.

I'm probably not a genius, haven't been officially trained enough in anything to be distinguished at it, and being 'skilled' in my work is basically having a heartbeat. I'd say I'm average. Working on it though.

I could never take questions like this serious, sadly. I always try and poke holes in it wherever possible simply because everything can be reduced to its base components for simplicity and ease of access, all because the nature of the original question allows for too much instability of the placement of the average. I can't see a place to define what it really means to be placed somewhere specific on the poll.
Most of my skills revolve around analyzing why something would and wouldn't work, and thinking long-term instead of short-term. I'd say it helped solidify and place me on the political scale in certain respects, but I also understand how commenting or elaborating on that may possibly offend some, so I'd know better than to elaborate on it in public.
I used to a LOT dumber. Believe me. I still have an entire panoply of dumb but I'm digging my way out of it year after year.

not to sound self-aggrandizing but i'm literally the smartest i've ever been and i can't look back on myself in the past without thinking i'm a major dumbass. i think everyone is that way pretty much, everyone's the smartest they're ever going to be because they just know more than their past selves. everyone who's making any improvement whatsoever thinks their past selves are dumb as shit, cuz you know everything that person knew and it's like "damn your stupid little head was empty"
so if i can answer the question relative to my past self, i'm actually a hyper brain genius who has maximum power
(i still think i'm bad at everything)

I consider myself at home, part of the family. You've taken to me so strong, it's clear we're all going to get along. I consider myself well in, part of the furniture. There isn't a lot to spare. Who cares? Whatever we've got, we share!
