Poll: Semi-solid FFCs. To crush or not to crush.

Should Solid-on-top FFCs be able to crush Link against cailing.

I am working on restoring and reworking ancient Greyswandir`s sideview engine. Yes, the one used in Link Stuck in Castlevania. So far did ladders, swimming, slippery floors, fully solid stairs/slopes and lastly, solid FFCs, inspired mostly by Moosh`s Solid FFC implementation. While debugging this hacktoberfest, I came across dilemma. In addition to fully solid FFCs, I also did Solid on Top FFCs, like moving platforms in Mario games. Should those platforms be able to crush Link against ceiling, either solid combos or anither solid FFC, or just cause Link to drop through on crush attempt?

I think it's better to let him fall through. Jump-through platforms are a rather video gamey concept. In most cases where you can jump through something it's because it exists in the background or foreground and the player character chooses to stand on it. So if they're about to be crushed it doesn't make sense for them to not hop off at that point. Funny enough though, I'm pretty sure my solid FFCs script just has them crush the player. It was easier that way. :P

I would say to let it crush Link or, at least, to let it damage him before pushing him downwards. If the player wants to avoid the penalty, let him jump off the platform before it hits the ceiling.
