This is a problem that I struggling with, since a few months.
I wanted to use a real 2_tile height Link
...not "just" a few pixel taller.

Im happy with look and movement, but when I stab/slash the upper sprite/tile seems not to be involved in anyway.
only the lower part (controller sprite/tile) attack.
So it looks like the sword comes out of Links knee, when attacking left/right.
...and when I'm stabbing upwards, Link body covers the sword, it's nearly invisible.
Stabbing down looks fine, cause the bottom tile is "the controller"

Is there anyway to chang the sword sprite position?
...or to define wich tile (of the two tile hero sprite) is the "controller"...
...so that, when you stab left, right or up, the upper tile is attacking ...and the lower tile, when stabbing downwards?

Well..., there are a few solutions to this, but the best one would probably be a script that repositions the sword weapons for you. But this is going to be a continuous problem for practically all built in weapons and tools I'd imagine.

Yeah, I think so, too

Scripts involving actual melee type weapons don't work well. I will say that what you are asking is not remotely the intent of the tall link feature; it's purely, 100%, visual; it in no way affects the hitbox or anything. It's not meant to say you are actually taking up another tile of space, it's meant to make you look less top-down and have more visual on the character sprite.
