With the release of Zelda Classic 2.50, tutorials for ZC are really needed. But our tutorials section on PureZC has been neglected for a long time. We've decided to finally try to fix this by introducing several changes in the hopes of encouraging people to start submitting much needed tutorials for this new version of ZC.
  • The Tutorials forum has been moved out into the main forum index. Tutorials are extremely important toward helping people use the program, so they shouldn't be tucked away in a random corner.
  • We've done away with the dropbox and approval system. You are now free to post tutorials whenever you want so long as they follow the tutorial forum rules that have been posted. We are relaxing things considerably since people should feel comfortable with writing tutorials.
  • While you are free to comment on tutorials in their topics now, please only make a new topic in the Tutorials forum if you are creating a tutorial. There are other forums if you need help with something and the pinned discussion thread can be used to bounce tutorial ideas and requests.
  • We've introduced a version tag. Please tag your tutorials for the version of ZC you used to make them. (1.90, 1.92, 2.10, 2.50)
  • There will eventually be a system put in place to help point out quality tutorials, but we haven't decided on how to go about that yet.
  • We've revamped the tags a bit by adding descriptions. Check the new tutorial rules topic for more information.
  • There will probably be a tiny delay in the old tutorials getting updated to reflect these changes, but it shouldn't take too long.
We hope that these changes work out since the ZC Community desperately needs up-to-date tutorials at this point. You don't have to submit comprehensive tutorials, so please don't be shy about submitting. Also, if you have any requests for specific tutorials, be sure to post them in the Tutorial Discussion topic. icon_smile.gif
