I did NOTHING, but standing at the window, watching people in my hometown, lighting the rests of fireworks, they've had from last year(s), cause shops were not allowed to sell fireworks, this year.
...while I was listening to "In the Year 2525".

I originally planed to write on my current scripts, but I didn't feel right to do that.
...well, it's a depressing era, we live in... IMO

my partner and i realised we had nothing on because of covid restrictions so we had a friend over and we played mario party on the switch til like 11:45, went and looked at the fireworks down the road from our house and then we were in bed by 1:30

Heh. The party would've been pretty small. Parties aren't like what they used to be sadly. Would've still been a nice night out, if the weather wasn't so discouraging.

I really loved to see the fireworks, cause to me, it was a sign of free human WILL and HOPE.
...and I really don't want to depress anybody.
It just felt wrong to me (personally), to celebrate.

I don't blame you, it's been a rough year for a lot of people. I think it's good to try and stay optimistic and hope for more happier times in the future though.

It seems that, the closer you get to europe, the harder the firework-sanctions have been, this year.
Shops in germany were not allowed to sell any fireworks this year, I couldn't even buy simple sparklers...


Please correct me if I'm wrong, but (for example) in the USA, the general "party-conditions" seemed to be not so hard.

i had three asahi super drys but wasn't feeling in a drinking mood come 11 pm

Went to the house of a friend with a bunch of other friends, cooked and drank. Been in bed at 3AMish, the others stayed up longer.

Oh, just some cheap stuff for about $9.  J. Roget.  One bottle was extra dry, the other was spumante.
