-The fact that this is not a joke really perplexes me. It's hysterical- Ron Paul forces Romney out? Here are some highlights from the article.

Clearly spooked by a few of Rep. Ron Paul's second-place finishes kind of close behind him, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has dropped out of the race for the Republican presidential nomination.

So, right off the bat they tell you that the reason Mitt Romney drops out is because he's spooked at the fact that Ron Paul came in second place...?

Romney was so flustered in his dropout speech to the Conservative Political Action Committee in Washington Thursday, that he didn't even mention Ron Paul.

Great, so back up your points with conspiracy theories... so flustered that he didn't even mention him? Maybe because he didn't care about Ron Paul?

He's even got one big-name donor, one big-name endorser and another perhaps maybe.

Top it off with bad grammar, and it's a wonder they let this article into Google News archives, really.

I don't know what it is about him, but Ron Paul seems to have gained the support of a large number of complete nutjobs. They frequently say he has a large and unprecedented following, but he got less than 10% of the vote in most states on Tuesday. The only state where he finished second was Montana, and that was by about 13%.

I know. I actually thought Ron Paul was a good candidate... but what the heck's up with that article, I don't know.

Seriously though, this is weird. I personally wouldn't give it much thought. The real reason why Romney dropped out was because there was no chance for him to win. McCain is going to become the candidate. There's only probably about a 5% chance he won't win.

Yes, it was McCain that made Romney drop out, not Paul... it's idiotic. There's only one president this year I really wouldn't want, and that's Huckabee. Does he have any chance anymore?

Huckabee still has a chance, but he is going to have to pick up Romney's votes to beat McCain. It is like Stephen Colbert said, "Huck is not f#*@ed!"
