What's with all those Avatar jokes? Anyways, my screen seems a bit out of place with 3 classic shots beside it. I voted for JetBox, as I really love good classic cave screens. I myself made caves like that in one of my quests and I enjoyed making them.

Voted Avataro. His shot is clean and well-designed with pleasant colors and just the right amount of detail. It doesn't break any new ground in terms of creativity, but neither do the others.

Impressive show this week all around.

 

• umbrello's shot is solid. Good starting screen, and it's interesting to see the "inverted" Classic tiles put to use. I can't blame you for nixing the water's "dots", either.
• I like Fireblast's screen. It's nice to see someone treating the Classic mountains as if they were more "traditional" mountains. I get the feeling they could be executed better (as they are now, they just look like a bit of dirt was overlaid onto the existing Classic mountains -- perhaps tweaking the edges to complete them, rather than leave what's there appear "cut off", could help?), but it doesn't really look bad as is.
• Avataro's shot isn't bad either. It's not standing out to me quite as much as the others, but I'll admit this is my bias toward preferring Classic screenshots. Nonetheless, it's put together fairly nicely, and I'm not seeing anything not to like - it's pleasant all around.
• JetBox, however, gets my vote this week. Atmospheric Classic shots are always a big win to me, and it's great to see a cave shot with a new palette. The trees could probably use darkening, considering it's a dark cave (and the torch effect makes them stand out), but it's not really enough to take away from the overall feel of the shot so much as this change would enhance it even more.
