This is the first Scary ZC game i think that exists ever ....

Here is a copy of an unreleased masterpiece.

 

This game was made by Shane. It was requested i think by me because i wanted to actually see a scary ZC

game, but it's like None exist.

Some great Gameboy atmosphere, as expected of Shane. I dunno if I'd call the game scary though. I don't think ZC can do scary. Horror elements when applied to ZC just tend to come off as frustrating in my experience. Like the save starvation in Hollow Forest. Nobody asked for that. Without the third dimension it just comes off a little...hollow?

It's not that difficult actually.

I think there only needs to be intense jump scares and that will do the trick.

......Wait what? xd This wasn't supposed to be known or released yet! Oh well, not that it fully matters either way. My only issue is that there's a lot of silly bugs due to this being made in like 10 days and if I ever do release this officially (probably not) it's probably going to be expanded in a meaningful way as I'm not happy with some of the things currently in it. I appreciate the comments tho!

 

Also agreed it's not that scary! My aim was for atmosphere however. I'm also of the opinion you cannot do proper horror in ZC. I just decided to do this to mess with Eddy (hence Edward) since he was expecting a troll quest for his birthday which is technically what he got... Worst birthday gift ever? You decide.

It certainly isn't "scary" IMO, but moreso "unsettling" would be a better term for it. Joel's "I Will Attend the Funeral" has similar vibes I feel, although that one is quite a different quest entirely.

 

But yes this was an experience to play in a call lmao
