I'm going to use Petoe's MegamanDRW tileset for this, 'cause it has lotsa futuristic tiles.
Screw that...too complicated. I'm going to try to make my own tileset.

And Petoe, if you read this, no offense-I'm just not enough of a ZC adept to use yor tileset. I might use some of your tiles though.

Hm........ALmost complete custom...sorta, so I would give it a solid 48. ( Hey, do you need a day time palette for the one I gave you? )

Na. Actually, yours works well for daytime. And overcast, snowing day. I was actually planning on using yours for day and putting a transparent tile on layer six for night time. icon_heh.gif

How many points would 4 color GB get?

I figure I'm gonna do a PoRC spinoff for this. I plan to have quite a few of them anyways.

Okay, here's a look at my progress:

Graphics: 90%
Intro: 100%
Scripts: 100%
Actual Progress: 0%

And yes, I need the scripts. The whole quest falls apart without them. One of them is available online, and the other I made myself with help from the Zscript reference in five minutes, so you don't need to be a scripting wiz to get all the scripts my quest is using.

spinoff...a mini quest?

Basically. This should have 3 dungeons and a huge-ish cave system that almost all of the items are in. He's the breakdown of what I have.

The Average Mishappenings of Rectangle Country: Tales of the Lost Beach

Story
The Lost Beach is a fraction of Oval Island that only a few know about, in fact, it doesn't even exist. The Narrator of the quest decides to put Yarg there, and makes up that to go home, Yarg needs the Magic Conch (spongebob reference >:|) and the 2 Claws of Crab.

The way I see it, the plot is sorta like Link's Awakening, but on crack.

IPB ImageIPB Image
That's half of what I have done so far. icon_razz.gif
And yes, I know they look terrible.

You should be able to do the levels in any order, but Minotree, Crawdad, then Algae Forest is the suggested order.

'nsuch

I won't be able to. Sorry. >_<

I've decided on what I'm going to do. All I can say at this point is that it doesn't have anything to do with Zelda. The main character isn't even Link. I'm going to use the Pure Rememberance set.

It should be pretty interesting, as it revolves more around overworld exploration that going into dungeons, and that I intend to have 2 endings. Both are good, but one is harder to achieve than the other.

I'm going to do 5 4x4 areas, and about 4 or 5 small dungeons. The areas are vastly different from one another. I intend to make it in 254, then export it to 2.10.

Now I just gotta finish it! >_<

Wow, it looks like all of these quests have nothing to do with Zelda. Awesome!

Anyways, my quest has run into some scripting problems. I was planning on having two controllable characters, and you choose who you want at the beginning of each level. But I'm running into problems, so you might only be able to choose at the beginning of the game. Still will have two characters, but it won't have the same effect I was going for.

like, plus 6 points. Even though its a script, .

You know you could just use shields for the characters.

That's what I'm doing. The script gives the character a ring with a LTM on it, to change the graphics, and because it's a ring, change Link's color set.
