Our green clad hero is once again lost in a strange world, and being somewhat creeped out by the dungeon looking at him.

Thanks, I hate it!

Jared: Now there's a tileset I haven't seen in a long time! I really love the composition of it, it has my vote. I can't wait to see more from this.

FireSeraphim: Nice lake scenery, love the tone of the palette as well. I didn't realize though the bottom left wasn't solid, maybe make it more noticable?

Moosh: Well this is definitely something. The pit and exposed roots(?) are really what sell this screen easily. (BTW, there's mountain errors next to the top of the vine.)

The mountain has little pebbles sticking out of the corners there. Yeah...that's it.

(I have no idea how that got there. Curse this tileset and its similar, but slightly different one tile high mountain tiles.)

Moosh reminds me of the Bed of Chaos.

Taking a vote away for causing me much dismay due to painful memories in the Lost Izalith.

It's almost as if Moosh is taking the logic he used to rebuild LQftH2 and is applying it to the GBA tileset.

This must be why Link's Quest for Canada isn't released yet! He's planning on surprising us with this, right? :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

All three screens are quite attractive. Nice job! :)

Jared
I like the overall graphic design and coloring, but I feel that there could be a little more... life, for lack of a better word that comes to mind. An NPC or some subtle animation would bring it to the next level.

FireSeraphim
I like the 2x2 trees and the overall color composition. The water definitely dominates the shot. Having a little more walking space could improve this a bit.

Moosh
The idea of using tree trunks as walkways is really fresh, and it integrates into the Game Boy graphics fairly well, though maybe a tad detailed compared to other tiles. I can completely forgive the mountain tile detail that others pointed out after getting marked down for a mountain corner in the last SotW.

Vote goes to Moosh this time.

Sorry, I didn't want to upset you. I just wanted to point out that I've seen this a lot in SotW and that I personally don't like it and usually don't vote for a screen that has those mountain corners, even if it is a great screen (like yours last contest). But I didn't want to start a trend or make people feel unconfortable. :/

Voted for Jared this week. Simple, but beautiful. :)

Well this is a nice turnout for this week! Nice work everyone, you all did amazing work! :)

However, I ended up voting for Moosh's screen cause it looks the most unique to me with those pits and roots! Great screen structure and design.

No need to apologize; I'm not upset. :) What's great about this contest is that people have very different tastes in aesthetic design and can vote accordingly. I respect your opinion and I wouldn't have it any other way.
